One of the most obvious signs that your carburetor needs cleaning is the development of popping and “sneezing” sounds when the pressure washer is running. These sounds are often an indication that there is some sort of imbalance occurring in the air and fuel mixture.
Replace the carburetor with a new one if it shows any signs of spalling (spalls are small metallic fragments) due to corrosion. A new carburetor will cost $30 to $200. A small engine repair shop will charge between $50 and $150 for labor to install one.

Common signs include reduced engine performance, black smoke coming from the exhaust, backfiring, overheating, or hard starting.
Rebuilding the carburetor may be required if basic adjustments don`t fix your small engine problems or improve performance on your lawn mower or outdoor power equipment. Follow the steps below for overhauling small engine carburetors.
Rebuilding a carb is actually a fairly quick and easy process that requires little more than a few basic tools, a cleaner, and a carburetor kit. Before the advent of fuel injection in performance vehicles, rebuilding the carb was a routine procedure, performed in garages and backyards across the country.
Honda`s GX series engines are legendary for superior reliability and performance. And there`s no doubt about it: the GX200 lives up to the legend.
2000 PSI and 1.2 GPM is powerful enough to handle smaller jobs around the house and car washing. This is not enough power for larger projects.
Open the throttle quickly. You should see the accelerator pump system discharge a squirt of fuel into each primary barrel. The flow should continue for a few seconds after the throttle valve reaches the wide-open throttle position. If not, the accelerator pump system is defective.
There could be small leaks, holes, or tears in your garden hose or high-pressure hose that are causing your pressure washer to lose pressure when you pull the trigger. If you find leaks, plug the holes or replace the hose, which should solve your pressure issues.

My Honda 2600 psi power washer will not pull to start. It was running great then I allowed the neighbor to borrow it. He ran the washer till it was out of gas and proceeded to refuel and at this point it would no longer start. The pull cord is out about 4-6 inches out and I am concerned about taking the casing off myself.

Fearing that it may throw more off on the unit. If i take the casing off are there any spring loaded parts that will dismount?

What should I do? Spark Plug? Turn wrenches?

Please let me know

ANSWER : You should be fine to take the recoil off, there shouldn’t be anything that shoots out at you. You might want to check the oil level on the engine, many of the Honda engines won’t start unless there is enough oil in them. If your oil level is fine, check to make sure that your motor is getting spark.

My honda gx110 water pump has been sitting outside for a year and now wont start.. I’ve bled it, changed the oil and refuelled, still no success! (plug seems ok) any suggestions? cheers
ANSWER : There is a very good possibility that corrosion has locked up the float. I would try removing the cover/bowl and make sure the float isn’t stuck. With all of the other things you’ve done this is my best guess.
Good luck!

1750 psi Electric Pressure Washer: My pressure washer is losing pressure and is pulsa…
ANSWER : If the pressure washer is pulsating then that is a sign of check valve failure. You may be able to clean of replace the check valves. Replacing the head is the wrong way to go. This is completely unnecessary. If you can tell me the model number of your pressure washer then I can assist you better in pointing you in the right direction.
