cle audibly but pressure at outlet hose seems constant, hence I did’nt worry.
Now it does not start with switch on. I now hear a buzzing sound from the unit.
The unit was last used 6 weeks ago.
The unit was stored in the garage away from frost, it does not leak water so I don’t think there is any frost damage, but just this buzz.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Hi, I have a Karcher K3 pressure washer.
18 months old, used maybe 6 hours total.
For the past 3 hours of use the compressor/pump seems to cycle audibly but pressure at outlet hose seems constant, hence I did’nt worry.
Now it does not start with switch on. I now hear a buzzing sound from the unit.
The unit was last used 6 weeks ago.

ANSWER :

No pressure Pump reassembly. I purchased a new pump and installed it. Got machine back together and I’m not getting any pressure. What would be the signs if I don’t have the shaft key in properly? Or any other suggestions?
Water comes out of nozzle with pressure for a quick second then no pressure, just water. This is a brand new pump so was curious if I installed it wrong. Wondering before taking it apart again.
ANSWER : No pressure would be a sign that the key was not in properly.

Soap feed The soap feed hose on my Karcher 2650 does not suck up the soap into the washer. I pulled off the connector piece that the hose is connected to. I can blow through the hose. There is a little metal finger thing that you can tell pushes up into place when the water pressure is high. It seems like it is supposed to drop down and allow some soap through when the water is running. I found a loose(attached to nothing) gasket, looks like a little donut. It was just free floating in there. I’m thinking it may go over the finger mechanism. I just put it back on top of the finger, like a halo and put the screw in piece back in. Anyway, if you know, let me know how all that goes together.
ANSWER : I fixed mine works good too, watch my video step by step i put it on youtubehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFXSLOBL0Mg

I have had 3 Karcher pressure washers all experience the same problem and so have two of my neighbors. Our area has very hard water and it causes problems with the washer not bringing up the pressure when the trigger is pulled (or surges up and down) and the nozzles clogging, etc. The service repair facilities cannot tell me how to prevent this. Many attempts to contact Karcher for advice have been ignored. I have been thinking that perhaps running the engine for a few seconds with no hoses attached and shooting WD-40 as a water displacer into the hose inlet might work. Do you have any recommendations or suggestions? My most recent purchase of a Honda pressure washer lasted only two uses and the pump froze up.
ANSWER : If your water is that hard (and it appears it is) WD40 will NOT solve the problem. You should look into a water softener. However, chances are that a small, inexpensive model will not have the flow capacity required for a pressure washer. You’ll likely need to look at a larger, whole-house model.

Use vinegar to through the machine’s “soap” dispenser to break up the hard water deposits or a heavier solvent such as CLR which is available at most retail outlets.

I have a 2000 psi simonize gas fired..Can.t get any water when pump is running. I took the. water pressure hose off on unit and still no water
ANSWER : If the unit has been stored you need to remove the bottom three plugs on inlet side of pump head and simply free the checkvalves that are in closed position needle nose recommended and small screwdriver to pry them open this is caused by the impurites in water that dry up and seals the head and disc together:):)

Stumped. Can anyone help
ANSWER : Start the engine!
