The run time of the trimmer is 10-15 minutes per battery on a fully charged battery. Battery run time may vary depending upon factors including but not limited to charging conditions, battery maintenance, storage and environmental conditions.
Batteries are great
I use the 20v max for drill, impact, circular saw, edger, weedwhip, I have 4 batteries I rotate through… I get about 40 to 45 minute run time on the weedwacker on the #1 setting and about 20 minutes on the #2 setting (#2 is more power) great product.
Trimmers Stopped working
If your trimmer won`t turn on, especially if it has not been used recently, you may simply have a drained battery. Plug your trimmer into your charger and see if anything happens. Ideally your trimmer will recognize it has been connected to a power source and charge its battery.
While using your Hedge Trimmer, it`s common for debris and sap to become lodged in the cutting blades. This can cause the blades to bind, making trimming more difficult, and even cause the engine to overheat.
We get asked many gardening questions and one that is popular is “Can you use cordless hedge trimmers in the rain?” Yes, you can use cordless hedge trimmers in the rain and also on wet hedges. There is no risk of getting an electrical shock and you can still easily cut and trim hedges safely.
If your clipper blades are still pulling the hair, you will need to replace your blades or alternatively have them sharpened.
DANGER! Hedge Trimmer blades are very sharp and can cause severe injuries, even if engine is off and blades are not moving. Avoid contact with blades. Wear gloves to protect hands.
The 18v models will cut a medium size, well kept hedge. For thick stems and large hedges there are 36v (and higher) models but these start to get heavy.
Runtime: The listed runtime is the maximum time you can use the trimmer on a fully charged battery. Fortunately, hedge trimmers use less power than cordless electric lawn mowers and leaf blowers, so most battery-powered hedge trimmers have 30 to 80 minutes of runtime.
