How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

The reason for this is because a build up of water pressure. On the water inlet or coupling the water can cause a pressure build up, popping the garden hose off. The aqua stop is a valve in the end of the garden hose connection that restricts water flow.
When the power washer does not turn on, it is either due to no water flow or no electricity going to the power washer. In other words, either a water or electrical problem.
There could be small leaks, holes, or tears in your garden hose or high-pressure hose that are causing your pressure washer to lose pressure when you pull the trigger. If you find leaks, plug the holes or replace the hose, which should solve your pressure issues.
you might have rust built up in your cylinder. possibly or some corrosion. so your piston might be seized up for that reason or if you ran it low on oil. and it got too hot the piston could be seized up as well so that would be another reason why that piston is not going to move that recoil.
If your hose is 100 feet or less, no, your hose will not likely have issues. However, if you want to use a hose that is a few hundred feet long, you will lose a noticeable amount of water pressure. Most pressure washers are not sold with long hoses because the best pressure is achieved from a shorter hose.
Turn Off the Machine

Turn off the water source. Don`t immediately detach the hose from the machine if the main water source is still on. Pressure has built up in the hose and could cause injury. Now, turn off the safety lock on the pressure washer and pull the trigger to remove any excess water and pressure.

Will an airlock clear itself. Even if you run out of water, air should automatically clear in a well-constructed low-pressure water pipe system. The air should naturally climb to the top and discharge as the pipe system fills up.
How Do I Tell If My Unloader Valve is Bad? In most occurrences, the first symptom of an unloader valve going bad is no pressure from the wand when the trigger is pressed. This happens when the unloader valve gets stuck open and does not allow water to enter the hose and trigger.
If your generator cranks but won`t start, this suggests a fuel supply problem. Start with the primary fuel filter and make sure it is clean. Next, check for air in the fuel supply. You can do this by opening the bleed fitting on top of the secondary fuel filter or on top of the injection pump.
If you are running too much equipment on too small of a generator, the generator may shut down in order to avoid putting too much stress on your appliances. The only way to remedy a loss of power due to overload is to shut off the generator, reduce the load by unplugging unneeded appliances, and restart the generator.
What PSI pressure washer do you need to start a business? For most residential and light commercial applications, pressure washers with a PSI (pounds per square inch) rating of 2,500 to 3,500 will suffice. However, for heavy-duty commercial jobs, a higher PSI rating of 4,000 or more may be necessary.
It depends on the pressure washing equipment you purchase. New pressure washers will be rated with a number of hours they should last. For example, if it is rated 500 hours and you use it fewer than 50 hours throughout the year then it will last you more than ten years as long as you keep it well maintained.
The longer the hose the longer you`ll have to wait. Not much else to add. One power washer will tell you 50-feet is the practical limit and another will tell you 250-feet. Weighing-up time saved, effort and risk you won`t want to regularly wash more than 150 or 200-feet from your power washer reel.
While the water in a pressure washer spews out with greater force, it uses about 50% to 70% less water. A typical hose puts out between six to ten gallons per minute (GPM), while a conventional pressure washer uses between two and five GPM. Money: Less time, labor and water can result in money saved.
A good rule of thumb is the “six-twelve” rule: always keep the nozzle of your pressure washer at least six inches away from the paint and 12 inches away from trim. This creates a stream of water powerful enough to tackle tough stains and grime without damaging the surface of your car.
If it is raining lightly, with no sign of thunder or lightning, you are fairly safe. If it is pouring, you may want to consider another day. If there are thunder and lightning, definitely put the job off.
The pressure washer hose will fill with water, so it is important to purge the system of excess air before starting the unit. Simply squeeze the trigger on the gun and the air will release.
An easy way to check that the drain hose is clear is to blow air through it. If nothing is obstructing the drain tube, the problem is most likely at the washing machine pump. If the hose is worn or badly kinked, replacing the hose may improve the ability of the machine to pump water.
Each time the power cord is plugged in to an outlet, the Reset button on the GFCI module must be pressed down to connect to electricity. Check to see if the Reset button has been pressed. Next, confirm the small plastic window below the Reset button shows RED in the window.
Put the carburetor float and other components in a large container with your Simple Green Pro HD solution, and soak thoroughly. Use a brass brush to scrub all metal components, and a stiff nylon brush to scrub plastic pieces. Make sure the tiny vents get cleaned.

If your washer won`t drain, the first thing to inspect is the drain hose. If this part is clogged, frozen or bent, water won`t be able to flow out—which will leave all the liquid in the tub. Make sure the drain hose isn`t kinked or twisted in a way that obstructs the flow of water.

Motor seems to be locked up!!!!!!!!
ANSWER : It may be your engine, but it may also be the water pressure. Try this: Hold the trigger down while pulling the recoil starter. This acts as an unloader for the pressure washer, and may allow the engine to turn over. There is also an oil level in the pump as well as the engine. Check both levels.
Just a thought, but I’ve been there. Best regards, W/D
