If your car doesn`t start with a new fuel pump, chances are the fuel pump is either not hooked up right or is broken. Double check that the pump is correctly installed and all hose attachments are plugged in. Next, check for any blockages along the fuel line—this can also cause your car not to start.

Check all the connections (fuel lines and wiring). If you have a fuel pressure gauge, test the pressure—it`ll almost certainly be low. You can also try removing and reinstalling the pump, following the installation procedure carefully. If the issue persists, you likely have a defective part.
The purpose of your vehicle`s fuel system is to store and supply the gasoline or diesel fuel your engine needs to run. Your vehicle`s fuel system is like the vascular system in your body: the fuel pump acts like the heart, the fuel lines act like the veins, and the fuel filter acts like the kidneys.
The fuel pump shut-off switch has a red reset button on top of it.
If there is still no pressure, then replace the fuel filter and retest. If nothing after that, then the fuel pressure regulator is not working and needs replacing. If you get pressure to the rail, then there could be a problem with the injectors; they may be either dirty or plugged up.
Common signs include poor cold start performance, the Check Engine Light coming on, and failing an emissions test.
A poor connection can cause enough resistance to lower the amount of voltage reaching the pump. This causes the pump to turn more slowly than it should, and can shorten the life of the pump. Replacing the vehicle side connector should solve the issues with poor connections, but sometimes causes another problem.
Press and hold the “Trip/Odo” button again until the Odometer says “1.” This means that the reset process has begun. Keep holding the button down while the fuel gauge resets. Release the “Trip/Odo” button once the reset is complete.
After the new fuel filter is installed, reconnect the negative terminal on your car battery, and reattach the fuel pump fuse/relay. Start your engine and let it run for a few minutes, checking to make sure that no fuel is leaking from your system.
If a fuel pump isn`t installed correctly, it either won`t work at all or won`t supply enough fuel to the engine. When the fuel pump isn`t working right, your engine isn`t getting the amount of fuel it needs to run well. Your engine loses power and fuel efficiency.

My intex sand filter will not move water when I put the lever to filter? It will move water when I put the lever to recirc but wont move water with filter…why?
ANSWER : Im gonna guess that you stored the filter improperly off season and now the sand charge is hard as cement inside not alowing water to get thru , left alone for a week or so it might loosen up , but the best thing is to dissasemble filter and remove all sand and ck “fingers” inside this is fastest way

Why is my sand pump filter not cycling pool water; the intake line along pool wall seems to be clogged.
ANSWER : I had this issue on a hayward. Bottom line, look at the secondary filter on the intake. I had a huge amount of leaves in there. When you open it up clean the basket and let the water flow for a minute. Also, back wash your filter.

Why will my1994 bravada not start?
ANSWER : Very possible your new pump went out again, or was not installed correctly. Check fuel pressure. If you know electrical you can jumper the relay to run the pump. On some GM models I have seen a test wire for the pump underhood.

Having problem getting fuel to carb on JD LA 105 lawn tractor with B&S 19.5 gas engine. I replaced fuel filter and fuel pump but gas will not flow to carb. Gas flows from filter to pump and I can pour gas in line to carb and engine will run until gas runs out of line but gas will not flow through pump. Could new pump be bad , if so how can I check it out?

Intex sand filter is noisy – INTEX Sand Filter Pump
ANSWER : These pumps on these things do make a lot noise (so much i found it’s scare’s deer from my yard thats eating my apple trees)air trapped inside sand filter makes noise as well this will work it’s way out after time

Motor pump is loud
ANSWER : I moved mine around to under a little 4 person deck i constructed out of wood and closed it all in with latice makes it a bit fun to access but wow cuts way down on the noise now , with outdoor carpet on top of deck you can barley hear it now if your not as handy as me im sure a good skilled handyman can fab you up one
