Use a 32:1 gasoline to oil ratio. One gallon of gasoline combined with 4 oz of two-cycle engine oil.
But as a general guide, a fuel-to-oil ratio of 50:1 is recommended for Husqvarna products up to and including 75cc. That comes out to 2.5 fluid ounces of oil per 1 gallon of gas.
A good quality unleaded fuel is needed. Be sure to use 89 octane or higher unleaded fuel. For best results, use Husqvarna brand two-stroke engine oil that if FD certified. Always mix gasoline and oil in a clean fuel container, not in the chainsaw`s fuel tank.
Husqvarna two stroke engines are designed to run on clean, fresh, unleaded petrol. A fuel / oil ratio of 50:1 is recommended for all Husqvarna 2-stroke products. Also consider; 50:1 (2%) fuel / oil mix ratio is recommended with the use of genuine Husqvarna two-stroke oil for best performance.
Oil mix ratios explained
If your manufacturer recommends a 50:1 fuel/oil mix, it means you need 50 parts of gas to one part two-stroke oil. To mix one gallon of fuel at 50:1, add 2.6 ounces of two-stroke oil to one gallon of gas, as shown in the chart below.
If you`re using a different brand of 2-Stroke oil, you`ll need to mix at 25:1 (40mls oil per 1 litre fuel). Petrol has limited shelf life (as low as 30 days), so always mix with fresh regular unleaded purchased from a reputable large volume fuel supplier.
Like other small-engine power tools, weed wackers require a mixture of engine oil and gasoline to run properly.

Some say 100:1 with synthetics. I use synthetics on 80cc and larger saws in the range of 40/50:1. I never go higher than that….saws are just too expensive to be stepping over dollars to pick up pennies. A lot of people are trying to make mixing ratios like some kind of mystery voodoo. You’ll always be fine in the 40/50:1 range with a good synthetic oil.

Put straight 30 weight motor oil in it. Not 10W30 or any multi-viscosity oil. Straight 30 weight motor oil. If you’re doing a complete oil change, then you may want to use Synthetic 30 weight, which will last longer between oil changes and also make your engine last longer (but it costs more too). Best of luck to you.James

Buy a good quality oil and mix it to the OIL manufacturers recommendation regardless of what the chainsaw manual says. If you are poking around the barn and find an old can of Homelite 2 cycle oil that says mix 25:1 mix it at that ratio.
All modern oils, chainsaws, and the EPA recommend 50:1. There has been great improvement in 2 cycle technology over the years. To rich a mix causes carbon build up on the piston that breaks loose and scores the piston and cylinder, and it stinks!
