The fuel hoses became brittle and broke off. I need to know if the tank outlet hose should go to primer inlet or carb inlet.Your help is appreciated!!

I would expect the hose to go:fuel tank -> primer pump -> carburettor -> (overflow) fuel tank.Good luck, they tend to be very fiddly.

The (clear) main fuel line with the filter (filter inside the fuel tank) goes to the bottom of the carburetor (or the elbow shaped nipple). The (clear) fuel intake line runs from the top of the carburetor (straight nipple) and goes to the short post on the back of the primer bulb.
The supply hose is connected to the fuel filter. The return hose is connected to the top of the fuel tank. The vapor return hose is connected to the charcoal canister.
One is the high pressure line, which sends fuel to the injectors. The other is the return line, which dumps fuel that the injectors don`t use back into the tank.
Fuel Pumps & Lines
Located in the fuel tank, your fuel pump moves gas from the gasoline tank to the engine. The pump creates the pressure needed to move gas from the fuel lines to the engine. While your car is running, the fuel pump is in constant motion moving fuel until your vehicle starts to run low on gas.
The (clear) fuel intake line runs from the top of the carburetor (straight nipple) and goes to the short post on the back of the primer bulb. The return line (blue) comes from the long post on the back of the primer bulb and goes into the bottom of the fuel tank.
A three-way ball valve has three ports or openings that are connected to piping or tubing for gas or fluid flow (media) to pass through. These ports are usually described as one inlet and two outlet ports or one outlet and two inlet ports depending upon the flow direction through the valve.
Metal, Rubber, Braided, or PTFE Lined
Fuel Lines can be made from many different materials. If you plan to race, be sure to check the rule book for your track or sanctioning body. Using the right material the first time will save you time, money, and headaches.
Material: Metal fuel lines are made from materials such as steel or aluminum, while rubber fuel lines are made from rubber or other elastomeric materials. Braided fuel lines are typically made from a metal or synthetic fiber braid that is wrapped around a rubber or other elastomeric core.
Putting fuel filler doors on different sides of different cars thus means that some cars can access pumps from the left. And this makes it less likely that drivers will have to wait in line for gas. That benefit greatly outweighs the cost of occasionally pulling up to the wrong side of the pump in a rental car.”
The return line should direct fuel close to the bottom of the tank and away from the pickup.
If the car is designed for right-hand traffic, the fuel cap is on the right and vice versa. The very simple reason for this is that in the event of an emergency, such as running out of fuel away from a gas station, it is safer to refuel the vehicle with a canister on the side facing away from traffic.

ANSWER : Just go from the fuel tank straight to the carb and the primer. The pipes are a set length so you don’t have to worry about threading it all around the blower.. just take the most direct route from the tank to the carb..!

Have a craftsman 16″ chain saw 358.360260. Could not initially get it started after it had sat for a couple years with fuel stabilizer in it. When I went to use it the fuel had all evaporated and the fuel pick line was rotted. I replaced that with some difficulty but finally got it on. Saw still wouldn’t start. Replaced the fuel filter. Still wouldn’t start. Pulled the carb apart and cleaned and recleaned everything. Diaphragms were good and I didn’t adjust any of the mixture screws because as I said it ran fine before storage. Non of the carb passages were clogged. Fresh gas 40:1, good spark plug and good spark. Airfilter is good. Engine has maybe about 4 hours of total run time on it. It’s a ZAMA (?) carb. It will run for about 30 seconds when I manually prime it by pouring a small amount of fuel directly though the carb. When I was disassembling the carb the vent hose that goes back into the fuel tank seemed to have a small out of ?substance? in it which I cleaned out. It was right at the end the of the hose that goes back into the fuel tank and not up by the carb. It didn’t appear to be like your typical gummy deposits/varnish though. I hope it wasn?t some type of spongy check valve stuff that is supposed to be in there. That might explain some of my problems. Anyway, I also can not seem to get the primer bulb to fill. When I open the fuel tank, look in side and depress the primer bulb, air bubbles come out of the fuel filter. But when I let the bulb reexpand there’s no fuel that gets sucked up the hose. I can however seem to fill the primer bulb when the fuel tank is full and the chainsaw is laying on it?s pull cord side and the bulb is depressed a bunch of times. The saw will also start and run again for about 15 seconds then die. It’s definitely not getting/fuel and probably running out . Thanks.

Use a piece of wire and insert it into the fuel line, then bend a hook in the end and hook it over the end of the fuel line…lubricate the fuel line with some vaseoline very lightly…about the first one inch of the fuel line and then use your fingers to start the fuel line into the tank, once you have the fuel line in the tank give enough to hook the fuel filter to and so it can be dropped back into the tank.
Below is a drawing of how to route the fuel lines.

Install fuel line for Poulan 2050 chain saw
ANSWER : What i normally do is slice the hose up the middle to approx 2″ take away on half, the hose is now only half the diameter at one end, push this into the top of the tank, take a pair of long nose pliers through the open fuel filler hole, grab the end of the hose and pull it through, trim the end and re fit the fuel filter.

ANSWER : Use a pressure gauge to check pressure at the rail. Change fuel filter. Replace fuel pump if needed.

Why will my1994 bravada not start?
ANSWER : Very possible your new pump went out again, or was not installed correctly. Check fuel pressure. If you know electrical you can jumper the relay to run the pump. On some GM models I have seen a test wire for the pump underhood.
