22″ Yard Machine Push Mower
My 123 cc Yard Machine push mower was working fine last week, now today won’t start. I took off the pull assembly and flywheel nut, if mine has a key it’s different than the pics I’ve seen on the internet. The flywheel will turn freely when the gas handle is pulled (which also released the brake) but then it hits a “wall”. The brake had an edge that’s still touching the flywheel and not sure than it would make a difference. Any ideas about a next step? Thanks in advance

If the engine only turns half a turn or so and feels like it hits something solid my guess is a broken conrod inside the motor(check your oil level??) dismantle engine to inspect damage
How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

A Dirty Carburetor Can Cause a Lawnmower To Start Then Die
By far, the most common issue that causes a stalled motor is a dirty carburetor. The carburetor on your engine is the thing that draws in air and mixes it with the fuel. Contrary to what the movies might make you think, gasoline itself is not very flammable.
If your lawn mower starts, runs briefly, then dies these are the four most common reasons that`s happening: Dirty carburetor / clogged carburetor bowl. Old gasoline that has gone bad. Dirty or defective spark plugs.
Loose, Dirty or Disconnected Spark Plug in Your Lawn Mower: Check it out, clean off debris, re-connect and tighten. Dirty Air Filter: Clean or replace. Fuel Not Reaching the Engine: Tap the side of the carburetor to help the flow of gas. If this doesn`t work, you might need a new fuel filter.
A full gas tank and oil reservoir are the essential first steps when checking why the lawn mower won`t stay running, but the problem could also be a dirty filter, clogged carburetor, improper fuel mixture, or a dirty spark plug.
If your lawnmower starts up but then dies in the middle of mowing your lawn, you could have a bad spark plug. The spark plug works with the ignition coil to create a timed spark in the cylinder, causing combustion. The spark plug is really a very simple device.
The most common reason for a surging lawn mower engine is a blockage in the fuel supply, but there are other possibilities: Bad gas. Bad spark plug. Dirty/faulty carburetor.
A clogged carburetor is most commonly caused by leaving fuel in the lawn mower for a long period of time. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog up the carburetor and cause the engine to stall.
Use Carburetor Cleaner
Fortunately, you can generally do this without even taking the carburetor out of the engine. Start by purchasing some commercial lawnmower carburetor cleanerOpens a new window, which comes in a simple spray can and will make it easy to clean the inside and outside of the carb.
Your lawn mower runs for 30 minutes then dies if you are having issues such as a bad spark plug, air problems, a malfunctioning carburetor, or a faulty gas cap. You may even encounter the issue that your lawn mower runs for 5 minutes then dies.
Why Does Your Lawn Mower Only Run With Choke On? Your lawn mower only runs with choke on because of a problem with the engine fuel-air mixture system, which can be caused by the carburetor, bad fuel, or air leaks. The choke compels more fuel in the combustion chamber to help the engine to turn over when cold.

Toro cutting off
Maybe low oil level, all mowers have a low oil cutoff. 30w oil.
Pump works for about 20 seconds then stops for 40 seconds then starts again.
This sounds as if motor is overheating and the thermal switch is stopping it (why it restarts by itself) if a pump is overheating then a few reasons need be looked at , is pump encountering higher viscosity’s than designed for and is having trouble moving liquid fast enough , is distance pump has to lift liquid over what it’s designed to do most of these pumps use liquid it’s moving to provide cooling to pump , is liquid it’s moving warm/Hot allready if so use different type of pump (non submerged) and last but not least is pump worn out and is failing moving parts wearing together make heat !!! ?
Motor stops, washer was working , full level in oil and good oil. Don’t starts again, apparently barred engine, does not “turn” around.
Whats it like if you remove the pump and gearbox if driven by a gearbox?
The mower moves slow in all speeds what is the problem
If the engine is running well you either have a loose drive belt or the transmission is on its last legs.
Motor starts, stops, starts, stops etc never running completely. not putting out much water pressure. not building pressure??
Is you nozzle plugged? That is what this sounds like.
When I stop cutting the clutch continues to move.
Sounds like you may have a siezed or bindind drum bearing or a broken clutch springs(s)
or the idle speed is way too high
take a look at clutch drum bearing and clutch 1st
Starts and stops starts and stops blowing snow, is the belt lose or waren or streched ? model 3650 6.5
Take the black cover off of the side (left) and look at the belt. It is probably worn out.
New coil for chainsaw
The coil is on the flywheel side of unit. remove the recoil cover and you will see the flywheel and coil. your have to remove the ground wire from shut off switch and two bolts holding coil in place. when installing new coil you need to leave a 10 thousand air gap between the coil leg and the flywheel magnet for proper operation
