How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

The fuel filter might be clogged. A clogged fuel filter is most commonly caused by leaving old fuel in the leaf blower. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog the fuel filter and cause the engine to stall.
What Causes Blower Motor Failure? Like other components in your HVAC system, the blower motor can wear down over time. Some of the reasons a blower motor might fail are overheating, and excessive moisture. When dust, dirt, and debris build up, it can cause the windings and bearings to burn up more quickly.
If your carburetor is clogged, it can cause your leaf blower`s engine to die when the choke is disengaged. You can disassemble it, clean it, and replace individual parts with a carb kit. Once your carburetor has been unclogged, cleaned, and re-assembled using the carb kit, the engine should run with the choke off.
If your blower is having a difficult time starting, then you may be dealing with a carburetor issue. The carburetor`s job is to ensure the proper mix of fuel and air is directed to the blower`s engine. As mentioned, the carburetor can become clogged, making it difficult for fuel and air to enter the engine.
ECHO gas blowers run on a 50:1 ratio of gas and oil mixture. You can do your own mix or purchase premix gas/oil.
Sometimes, when your starter rope will not retract into your leaf blower, it can be because it is jammed between the pulley and the housing, or it is wrapped around the hub. In this case, you will often be able to fix the symptom by simply opening the machine and untangling or removing the rope from where it is stuck.
A clogged air filter may cause your blower to idle roughly as well. Air filters can be cleaned to ensure they run properly, and should be inspected as part of your normal blower maintenance routine. If the air filter in your leaf blower is partially plugged, it can cause your engine to run, but die at full throttle.
The gas engine on your leaf blower needs to operate at a specific temperature: hot enough to burn the fuel and give the engine power but cool enough not to overheat the piston. An overheating problem in the leaf blower is generally caused by a failure to vent gases or the fuel burning too hot inside the cylinder.
Check that your device isn`t muted. The light indicator is red when your device is muted. For devices without a screen: press the Action button to see if your Echo device responds. To make sure that Alexa hears you, move your device away from walls, other speakers, or background noise.

ANSWER : Under neath the carby is a single brass bolt, undo it

that one bolt is a multi jet, find four holes use a fine pin and carby cleaner ,hint one is at the top were the thread starts , one is in the inside center and two in the sides

ANSWER : No spark sounds like the coil, but check the connections and any corrossion in the wires

Hard to start then won’t stay running
ANSWER : All of these “starting/running” issues are similar and related directly to one cause. It was suggested several times that the muffler may be plugged, but mine was found clean during a complete teardown. Cab cannot be blamed either, since the fuel filter wouldn’t be able to pass anything large enough to foul an orfice.
Very common issue with hot running two cycle engines…ring fouling and loss of compression. The brand or type of oil must be scrutinized, and the mixture kept exact. I would never use anything but Echo or manufacturers recommended oil in these units ever again.

Why does the echo start but die when i move from cold start to run?
ANSWER : Fuel issue, carb adjustment, fuel lines, carb rebuild.

Carb problems wont stay running unless i unplug and plug in the anti diesel switch the plug on the fuel bowl
ANSWER : Check and see if all your carb jets or clean sound like some dirt got into one

Wont stay running
ANSWER : Bad fuel or check for water in your fuel! Clean your carb and float bowl. Empty gas
into a clear container, if there is two levels of liquid one of them is
water. Of course make sure you have good spark plug.

I have an echo pb400e backpack blower. it wont start. getting fire but wont crank.
ANSWER : Is your spark plug getting wet from fuel? try take air snorkel off carb and give it a shot of carb cleaner if it fires you have a fuel problem if it doesent fire , and plug is wet pull plug and rollover and get excess fuel out of cylinder, and try carb cleaner again, if no luck check compression, then if good go to flywheel and see if loose
