Power-beyond kit. The power-beyond kit allows accessing pressurized hydraulic oil at the rear of the tractor for operating attachments equipped with an open center control valve, such as a backhoe and log splitter.
The Summit Hydraulics Power Beyond Kit brings the high-pressure flow port to the rear of John Deere 3025E, 3032E, 3038E. You can easily connect your tractor`s rear implements to the Power Beyond Port at the rear of the tractor.
Overview: Power beyond allows the supply of hydraulic oil to implements with own control valves (for example, electrohydraulic valves on trailed silage wagons and balers) or hydraulic motors (for example, a vacuum fan on a planter or a pump on a sprayer).
Finding your model number and serial number is as easy as locating the identification tag on your machine. As seen in the example, the model number will be displayed below the MODEL heading (Example: Z235), and the serial number will be underlined on the top-right corner of the tag (Example: 130002).
What is power beyond? Power beyond – also called high-pressure carry over (HPCO), is a facility on a mobile hydraulic directional control valve which enables the pressure gallery to be isolated from the tank gallery and be carried over to an additional valve – usually another directional control valve.
In a nutshell, Power Beyond is a facility in the outlet section of a mobile directional control valve, which enables the pressure bypass gallery to be isolated from the tank gallery. By doing this, the pressure gallery can then be carried over or continued on to the P port of another directional control valve (DCV).
POWER BEYOND SLEEVE. Power beyond – also called high-pressure carry over (HPCO), is a function of a mobile hydraulic directional valve. It allows you to isolate the pressure gallery from the tank gallery, and then transfer it to an additional valve – usually to another directional valve.
The difference between these is the construction of the directional control valve as well as the type of hydraulic circuit being used within the system. In an open center system, the flow is continuous and pressure is intermittent, whereas in a closed center system the flow is intermittent and the pressure continuous.
Hydraulic flow control valves are used to regulate speed within a specific part of the hydraulic system to ensure optimum performance at all times. By maintaining the flow rate and pressure of the fluid, they directly regulate the speed of motors and cylinders.
John Deere Engines are identified by the engine Serial Number Plate. The plate will list the Serial Number, Number of Cylinders, Engine Displacement in Liters or in Cubic Inches, the fuel option, Naturally Aspirated, Turbocharged or Turbo Aftercooled (Intercooled).
The first number designates the family while the next three numbers represent the approximate engine horsepower. The fifth and sixth positions are represented by a letter. The first letter indicates the level of capability or price a tractor has. Not every tractor will have a second letter.
A Third Function Valve is a hydraulic control valve that`s installed on your machine in order to add an additional hydraulic function. It`s often called a Third Function as it`s used to control an additional third hydraulic cylinder, the first two cylinders being on a front-end loader (Tilt/Curl).
To operate the valve, an amplifier and power supply are required. The power supply is typically 24 volts and is used to power the amplifier.
Hydraulics are similar to pneumatic systems in function. Both systems use pressurized fluid power, but hydraulics use liquids rather than gasses, unlike pneumatics. Hydraulics systems are capable of more significant pressures: up to 10,000 pounds per square inch (psi) versus about 100 psi in pneumatics systems.
Dieselisation gained momentum starting in the 1960s, and modern farm tractors usually employ diesel engines, which range in power output from 18 to 575 horsepower (15 to 480 kW).
Garden tractors usually have around 12 volts on a healthy battery.

For the most part, John Deere`s tractor production is shared across two locations – one in Germany and one in the US. All tractors in the 7R, 8R and articulated 9R series emerge from Deere`s Waterloo, Iowa, headquarters plant.

To use, remove the Power Beyond port plug on the upstream valve. Install the sleeve into the port. The sleeve seals using a rubber o-ring, so do not over-tighten it. Install a 3/4″ NPT (Male) fitting in the sleeve and connect it to the inlet port on the downstream valve.

The John Deere Infinitely Variable Transmission (AutoPowr/IVT) utilizes a combination of mechanical and hydrostatic power, providing stepless and continuous power across an infinitely variable range of speeds.
