in 1964, all Peerless assemblies have a model number identification tag, or stamping. On units containing axles (transaxles, or reduction gear and differential units) the identification should be visible by viewing the case/cover unit from below and behind as it is mounted in the driven equipment.

You can find your vehicle`s transmission on your window sticker. It will be listed under Vehicle Description on top of the window sticker.
Locating the transmission tag and identifying the model designation. Transmission model designation (i.e. RT-12609A), and other transmission identification information, are stamped on the transmission tag which is attached to the side of the transmission.

ANSWER : If this is 220v then your netural is not a netural but a common. Meaning it is common 110v to both the high and low speeds of pump. The high and low speed are the same leg of the 220v or the other 110v leg they just separate at the clock or high/ low switch. Then yes they run through separate windings for high and low.
If your not getting high speed it could be the high speed winding but be sure to check your switch and high speed lead first before doing anything else.

I have a Waterway Spa Pump Executive 56 Frame 4hp Dual Speed PF-40-2N22C in a Catalina spa that recently developed an issue. The pump will not start in low speed, just makes a humming noise, but it will start in high speed and will also continue to run in low speed when switched back from high speed. Does anyone know what might be wrong, and also how the power it supplied to this motor to achieve the two speeds?
ANSWER : The problem with the sound is the bearings inside the motor are going out. i have the same pump and i have to replace the motor. replacing the bearings is very hard and will cost you about the same after you carry the motor and new bearings to a shop to be pressed in. hope this helps!!

ANSWER : If its a Tuff Torq unit its 10-40 if its a Hydro gear unit its 20-50, if there is no oil resivoir, the level should be 1/4″ below the fill plug, this is to allow for expanion

Put new belt on ground drive, but gear shifter only goes to 2nd gear as it is pushing against the new belt. Should the gear shifter be against the belt? Does the clutch tension pulley need to be adjusted? It is a weedeater 42 inch 13hp model hdt1338a.
