Yes. I use gator mulching blades during the summer. They won’t bag a thing. The original/standard blades will bag some grass/leaves, if they are dry and not too dense, but they are prone to clogging. The high lifts work much much better. I get mine on amazon. The shipping is free. LA145 48″ deck. High-lift blades are best for most conditions and are designed to discharge clippings from the deck or to be captured in a bagger. Low-lift blades are good for dry conditions, sandy soil, and cutting at extremely low settings.
High-lift blades will allow for maximum airflow through the mower deck creating the perfect defined finish to your freshly cut lawn. These blades require a more or higher horsepower for optimal performance and are recommended for thicker or taller grass conditions. High-lift blades are unsuitable for sandy terrains.
High-lift mower blades mean blades that are designed to lift the grass after being cut. This kind of blade has curved edges, which helps create more airflow that lifts the grass after it has been cut and sends it to the bag. This applies if a bagger mower or a side discharge mower is being used.
Mulching blades, also known as 3-in-1 blades, can be used to bag, discharge, or mulch grass clippings. Mulching blades feature more curves and an increased cutting edge.

I need to get the blade of the lawn mower sharpened.Any tips on how to disconnect the blade fropm the lawn mower?
ANSWER : There is a jig that you can buy that makes this job SO much eaiser. It is a universal jig that clamps onto the deck and keeps the blade from spinning so you can use a ratchet to remove the nut holding the blade on. One name brand is called a “Blade Hog”. You should be able to find one of these at one of the bog box hardware stores.

ANSWER : You said cutting, not running, so I suggest removing the blade and sharpening on a grinder or buying a replacement blade.I hope you find this very helpful.

Pto knob stopped working to engage blade. Is there a quick fix for this?
ANSWER : No fix is really quick. The switch may have gone bad or the electric PTO has stopped working. One fix is cheap,the switch, and the other is expensive, the electric PTO. Or you may have a safety switch gone out.Good Day.

Which direction do you turn the bolt holding lawn mower blades on?
ANSWER : Clockwise to tighten. Remove the spark plug wire before working under there! Use a piece of wood to jam the blade against the housing so it will not turn.

Have a cub zero turn 52 inch cut the blades wont engage it starts but when you pull the switch to turn on the blades it wont engage any help?
ANSWER : Sounds like one of three possible problems ….one – there are safety switches that prevent engagement of the blades,,,,,two – the electric switch which engages the electric clutch blade pulley is bad….or three – the electric clutch blade pulley assembly is bad…..first…..make sure all ur connections are tight to the safety switches and electric clutchblade pulley…..then, if your able to read and follow a wiring diagram, get the wiring diagram for your tractor and a 12 volt probe light (with probe point end) with a ground lead….first, ground the clamp end to the frame and probe at the electric pulley clutch plug to see if power is getting there…if not…follow the wiring diagram to the next switch location the power lead comes from….if one side of the swtich shows power and the other side doesn’t with the switch in the correct run position….then the switch or connection is bad…..if it probes okay…go to the next switch….follow this logic from both sides of the from the electric pulley blade clutch plug until you isolate the switch or plug problem….if everythin tested is good….then it’s the electric clutch pulley assembly that need replacing…..hope this helps…..
