Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
If the handle parts are screwed together, get some plumbers tape. Wrap it with the tape at least 5 or 6 times. Screw together. If the 2 handles aren’t well machined give it more wraps. You could also use silicon pipe sealer but it doubt the machine is that close of a tolerance.

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

If your power washer leaks water from the connection between the hose and inlet, the seal and possibly the coupling on the inlet are likely broken and will need to be replaced. This seal and coupling should be fairly easy to remove and replace.
The leak is caused by the filter screen in the clear adapter protruding too far into the threaded section which doesn`t allow a water tight connection on the water inlet. The fix: Make sure the clear adapter is attached to the water inlet and NOT the blue/black adapter. To confirm the clear adapter is the problem.
If your hose leaks where it connects to the spigot, it`s most likely caused by a worn gasket, stripped adapter, or leaking connector. Connection problems usually cost around $2–$20 to fix. New garden hoses can cost up to $400, depending on the length and material.
In most cases, the leak will be caused by a loose or punctured drain hose, a fault with the drain pump, or a worn-out tub-to-pump hose. If it is possible to run the washer without causing further damage, removing the access panel and then running the washer will allow you to observe where the leak is coming from.
Gas Pressure Washer: Why does water spray out of my pressure washer`s pressure relief valve? If the pressure washer runs for more than 5 minutes when the spray wand isn`t in use, the water in the pump often overheats, causing the thermal relief valve to open and discharge hot water onto the ground.
A water main leak can occur for a variety of reasons. These include a lack of maintenance, weather changes and even old age. As a homeowner, a leak can fall under your responsibility or the county`s, depending on where the leak occurred.
If a leak is within a foot of the male or female connectors, cut off the end of the hose and replace the connector. If the leak is in the middle of the hose, cut out the damaged section and splice the hose back together with a repair coupling.
Unleveled or overloaded washing machine: The washer can leak if it is overloaded or out of balance. Check to be sure the washer is level, reduce load sizes, and keep an eye out for the leak. This simple solution may solve the problem.
This is a serious concern—water pressure that`s too high is difficult to contain, and could leak to plumbing leaks, worn seals, and damaged fixtures. It could even shorten the lifespan of your appliances that depend on a water connection like your washing machine, ice maker, dishwasher, and more.

What oil do i use in the pump? The oil is milky and needs changing.
ANSWER : Well you can use direct recommended from Ace Hardware see link.

http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1340266

They recommend 250 hours, but i’d change more often, like you said when it’s milky. If it begins to get water in the oil sooner, that indicates your piston to crankcase seal is beginning to leak.
