HOW MUCH PSI IS ENOUGH? LIGHT-DUTY pressure washers in the 1,300 to 1,700 PSI range are great for cleaning patio furniture, lawn equipment, stairs, and vehicles such as automobiles and small SUV`s.
There are several reasons we recommend Greenworks pressure washers. First and foremost, they`ve proved to be reliable over multiple seasons. With minimal care compared to gas-powered models, we`re confident it`s going to work when we need it to. We also appreciate that Greenworks doesn`t play games with their numbers.
There could be small leaks, holes, or tears in your garden hose or high-pressure hose that are causing your pressure washer to lose pressure when you pull the trigger. If you find leaks, plug the holes or replace the hose, which should solve your pressure issues.
You should also never set your pressure washer above 2,200 psi when washing your car. 1,500 psi is really all you need to get a good deep clean; any pressure higher than that won`t make a noticeable performance difference.
Concrete and asphalt require more cleaning power. You`ll want to use the turbo nozzle on the 1600 PSI for hard-to-clean driveways, sidewalks, and patios as well as brick paving. For wood decks and painted surfaces, switch to the gentler 40-degree nozzle.

A: Not the same company… officially. However, many GreenWorks products debut then are seen as a Ryobi product a couple years later. Also, GreenWorks was putting out “green” colored tools before Ryobi branded green as well.
It usually happens when the pressure washer runs out of gas. A blocked fuel filter can also stop a pressure washer from running smoothly. The gas flow to the carburetor will be limited. Solution: Check the air vent on the fuel cap is not blocked.
A clogged carburetor is most commonly caused by leaving fuel in the pressure washer for a long period of time. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog up the carburetor and cause the engine to run stall.
Mid-Range Power: 2,000 to 3,200 PSI

The most versatile category of pressure washers, those ranging from 2,000 to 3,200 PSI effectively clean cars (including the most well-used off-road vehicles), home siding, fences, boats and grimy garage floors. Those closer to 3,200 PSI work effectively on tough stains, too.

Heavy-duty tasks like stripping paint or removing graffiti require 2,800 psi or higher and a gpm of 3 to 4 (8,400+ ECUs). Commercial-grade pressure washers, intended for regular use and built and powered accordingly, start at 3,100 psi.

How to get detergent to feed into Greenworks 1700 psi washer
ANSWER : In addition to the comment above regarding the need to use a low pressure (soap) tip, there’s a chance the tanks or the hoses from the tanks to the valve and/or from the valve to the pump is plugged with dried detergent. The easiest way to clean out the hoses, unless you can see the plug with the detergent bottle removed, is to remove the top cover and pull all the hoses and flush them out. Removing the cover is not too bad. There are several recessed screws underneath, including a couple above the wheels that requires removing the wheels and axle.

How to repair non-functioning detergent bottle
ANSWER : Are you really sure it’s not working? Most of these only dispense detergent when the lowest pressure spray head is attached. If that’s not the problem then the next most likely thing to check for is a blockage in the tubing that connects your detergent bottle to the main unit. If this was not fully rinsed out after the last time it was used, any residual detergent remaining in the line will often solidify which results in blocking the line. Good luck
