What is the best zero-turn mower? My pick for the best zero-turn mower is the Cub Cadet Ultima ZT1. It features an 11-gauge steel, 50-inch cutting deck with twin blade sets for an even, consistent cut on each pass as well as a tubular steel frame for strength and durability.
A thoughtfully designed and fully adjustable command center allows you to comfortably cut at maximum speeds — 7.5 mph with the ZT, 9 mph with the ZTX — for extended amounts of time.

ashgrove landscaping: Between 1,500 and 2,000 hours and about three to four years.
The average life expectancy of one of these commercial grade engines is usually 3,500 hours with oil change intervals of 50 hours. Typically at 2,800 you can start to notice a lack in power, usually do to low compression.
Yes and no. It`s not much at all if you happen to buy one that has all good quality parts, especially the deck, engine and transmission. I won`t name names, but there are plenty of makes out there these days that will have MAJOR problems within that five hundred hours, WITH proper maintenance.
Cub Cadet lawn tractors are very popular and consistently earn high ratings from owners. If you`re looking for the best lawn tractor among them, we recommend the XT1 Enduro FAB series.
Battery Replacement: These batteries come with a three year manufacturer`s warranty and tests have shown that they will normally last 5-6 years before needing replacement.
A typical riding mower that`s well maintained will last 1500 hours plus. A riding mower that`s meticulously maintained will last 20 plus years.
Cutting width has a massive impact on a mower`s price, so don`t expect to find many quality zero turn mowers sporting a 62-inch cutting width below $7,000. Commercial-grade zero turn lawn mowers utilize much more powerful engines than consumer-grade models, and this upgrade comes with a hefty price bump.

What is the best zero-turn mower to buy? Our research shows that the Cub Cadet Ultima ZT1 is the best zero-turn available for its price. The most reliable electric mower per cost is the Ryobi 42-inch mower (although the EGO mower gives it a run for its money in the high-tech department).
While Toro uses an IronForged deck, Cub Cadet`s deck is made with 11-gauge steel. Consumers using both have found Toro`s decks more durable than Cub Cadets`. In terms of the engine, although Cub Cadet`s engine displacement is higher, the 24.5 hp power makes Toro`s zero turn mower stand out.

On my cu cadet zero turn only the left side turns and the right side moans but wont move ever with the release lever to free wheel released
ANSWER : Check the hydraulic oil level for the hydrostat drives(if it has a reserve tank located under the seat. Some ZT’s don’t have the reserve tank. Don’t over fill that tank. 1/4 inch above the bottom is all it needs.)

Also, check the steering arm bolts. Very often they work themselves loose and the arm doesn’t pull the valve rod that controls the hydrostat unit.

I have a cub cadet rzt50 mower…Need to replace a tire
ANSWER : There is a thru bolt, and inside and outside bushing, and center sleeve. Remove those to remove the wheel. Obviously support the frame on a jack. Most tires can be removed using a slight soapy solution and 2 smooth screwdrivers. Replacement, use a soapy solution around the bead, and using only hand pressure put the tire back on. Use a cinch strap around the center of the tire to help keep the tire beads against the rim and air it back up.
