There are several reasons a Craftsman lawnmower may turn over but not start, with the most common ones including the following: Lack of fuel. Dirty air filters. Electrical issues in the ignition system or the starter motor.
Use a 32:1 gasoline to oil ratio. One gallon of gasoline combined with 4 oz of two-cycle engine oil.
Oil capacity is typically 15oz or 18oz*. Check oil level during the season and add when necessary. Change engine oil every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
Determine Mower Deck Size
For homeowners with one and a half to three acres to mow, a mower with a cutting deck between 42” to 48” is a good size. Over three acres, you`ll want something larger. Before buying a 72” mower for lawns greater than three acres, consider your terrain.
Riding mower model numbers are found by flipping the seat forward. The model number is printed on the left side of the Product Identification Label, attached to the underside of the seat, and starts with the letters, “CM”.
Most of the time, you can find the Craftsman model and serial number on the top of the mower. If you were standing behind it and using it, the identification tag would be on the top rear portion of the deck, between the wheels.

ANSWER : There is no difference. It just takes a little longer if you screw down the cap. If your level is correct screwing cap in should not change results more than about 1/16 of an inch. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.
