27cc 2 Cycle Crank Straight Shaft Weedwacker Gas Trimmer ()

My Craftsman 316.791190 27cc weedwacker misses at full throttle. Adjusted high speed jet with double d tool and it has no effect. Changed fuel filter and checked fuel lines for leaks. Carburetor bolts are tight and filter is new. The only thing left is the muffler is dirty but the bolts are tight and I hate to risk breaking one off if this is not the problem.

If your trimmer engine idles, but stalls on throttle, check the following parts: the gasket, primer bulb, fuel filter, air filter, fuel vent, fuel line, and carburetor. The repair and symptom guide will help you better identify the part needed to be replaced and how.
With fewer moving parts, 2-stroke string trimmers are dependable tools. They weigh little and vibrate less than 4-stroke trimmers, which reduces operator fatigue and makes for a better trimming experience. They also require less maintenance.
In general, the larger your landscape, the more powerful your trimmer should be to efficiently maintain it. Lawns up to 1/2 Acre: Cordless trimmers ranging from 20 to 40 volts work well. If there`s a power outlet within 100 feet of the lawn`s perimeter, consider a corded string trimmer.
One gallon of gasoline combined with 3.2 oz of two-cycle engine oil. Unsure of the age of your equipment? Use the 40:1 mixture. All of our handheld two-cycle units can operate on a 40:1 two-cycle oil mix ratio.
All Weed Eater brand two-cycle gas trimmers use a 40:1 ratio of gas to oil. That`s equal to 3.2 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of regular gas.
If your carburettor has a main jet adjustment screw at the base of the float bowl, turn the screw clockwise until you feel it just touch the seat inside the emulsion tube. Then, turn the screw counterclockwise 1 to 1-1/2 turns. Replace the air cleaner assembly and start the engine for final carburettor adjustments.
Most styles and weights are interchangeable, so you can use non-OEM (original equipment manufacturers) line. However, larger/heavier line may not fit every string trimmer.

If the engine is not revving up and cuts out before you reach higher revs then you need to do the following checks: Fuel: Make sure it is fresh and correctly mixed (see `Starting Issues`). Air filter: Make sure it is clean and unclogged. Fuel cap: Make sure it`s hand-tight.
Clogged air filters can cause RPMs to surge up and down. Simply remove the air filter cover by the tabs or screws that hold it in place and replace. This should regularly be done as preventative maintenance. The fuel filter keeps dirt from entering the carburetor.
Just Like Spark plug fouling, too much oil in the gasoline, inferior oil, a dirty air filter and/or continued operation at less than full throttle will plug the screen with carbon deposits. This prevents exhaust gases from flowing out, which leads to power loss or not running at all.

How far into the fuel tank does the larger diameter line extend craftsman weedwacker 25cc/1.5cu.in. modeel #358.791010
ANSWER : It should have the little nylon connector on the very end of it at the very bottom of the fuel tank holding it in. You don’t have to have the fitting on it. Since it is connected on the purge valve RETURN line, that is all that is necessary..long as it doesn’t pull out of the tank…that line staying at bottom of tank keeps more air out of it as it carries old fuel and any air from the carb ahead of newer, fresh fuel entering the carb.
