Mi-T-M 18-oz 10w-30 Conventional Pressure Washer Pump Oil.

Pump Oil Viscosity

Viscosity is often the primary consideration when selecting vacuum pump oil. The viscosity of a fluid is a measure of its resistance to flow – so low viscosity is thin and runny while high viscosity is thick and sticky. This is determined by the size of the molecules in the fluid.

Udor recommends 90W gear lube be used in the gear box. Most gear boxes have a sight plug on the side to show the oil level. The oil level should be to the center of the plug.

Oil appears to have come out of the oil filler cap. Is this a sign of overfilling the oil, or something else?

What oil do i use in the pump? The oil is milky and needs changing.
ANSWER : Well you can use direct recommended from Ace Hardware see link.

They recommend 250 hours, but i’d change more often, like you said when it’s milky. If it begins to get water in the oil sooner, that indicates your piston to crankcase seal is beginning to leak.

2700 Series Presser Washer, and I need to change the “engine” oil. There on two oil “yellow” fill point, and the manual talks about changing the pump oil. How exactly do I change the engine oil?
ANSWER : Look for a drain plug on the base of the engine.Take the fill cap off also, and it’ll drain easier.

ANSWER : With that few hours, you need to return it as the seal shouldn’t leak. Probably was improper pump assembly, so you should take it back, because it will only get worse and fail. Hope this helps you, Rick

My pressure washer will start for a second and then shuts down. I just bought it from a friend and don,t think the springs to the govner are right but not sure.would like a skicamitc of the engine or manual so i can see if they are right

I bought a troybuilt pressure washer used and i changed the motor oil and ran it maybe 5 minutes.
later i checked the oil level again and it shot out the cap and i noticed the pump oil level is also almost to the top of sight glass. Does anyone know whats wrong?
ANSWER : If you left it sit for a while & did not turn the fuel tap off,it may have flooded and therefore the oil level would have risen causing the oil to over flow.

always turn the fuel tap off when not using your pressure wahser.
