How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

Use the Clarke 130EN MIG Welder to weld metal that is between 1/64 and 3/16 of an inch thick. Its power control has four settings: “1” for 1/64 to 1/32 inch thick metal; “2” for 1/32 to 3/64 inch thick metal; “3” for 3/64 to 3/32 inch thick metal and “4” for 3/32 to 3/16 inch thick metal.
Quality – the welder is good quality for the money. It comes set up as gasless but can easily be switched over to gas. The supplied MIG fluxcore wire is not great and I used it for practice before replacing it with a more quality spool and the difference is huge.
Clarke is out of business now and some parts, including the torch assembly we need, are not to be found. My son had to get a new comparable welder (Lincoln) and is quite happy.
Attempting to weld with an argon/carbon dioxide mix (commonly used for MIG welding) will cause immediate contamination. Set the proper gas flow rate, which should be 15 to 20 cubic feet per hour (cfh) for most applications.
For MIG short-circuit welding it`s recommended to use a 25 to 35 cubic feet per hour (cfh) gas flow rate. TIG welding typically runs a lower flow rate, while MIG processes using other transfer modes (other than short-circuit transfer) can run slightly higher than 35 cfh.
According to the evaluation method of digital 3D scanning 3DLD, Pavel Sokernin ranked first and Sergey Golodov took the second place. They both were ranked third in accordance to the Chinese method of evaluation of welding. Over 300 welders from all over the world struggled to become a winner.
MIG welding uses lots of electricity to create an electrical arc between an electrode wire and the metal being welded.
While a lot of users will suggest that 220 or 230 Volts are required for MIG welding, there are some that believe 240 Volts to be the right voltage level for this job. To be on the safe side, we will also recommend you use 240 Volts for MIG welding on a single-phase connection.
MIG Gases. If you`re going to be MIG welding, there are two main gases that are used: pure argon and an argon/carbon dioxide mix. The most common (and recommended) Ar/CO2 mix is a 75/25 ratio, with 75% of it being argon and 25% of it being CO2.
Typically, if you`re welding mild steel and you are welding indoors using pure CO2 or a 75/25 Ar/CO2 mix, a good gas pressure range for MIG welding is 10-15 CFH. But, if you notice any porosity, increase it to the recommended flow rate of 20-30 CFH.
The settings needed to MIG weld aluminum are pretty much the same for all positions. In most cases it will take 21 to 23 volts to get the arc to spray transfer. If welding out of position you will want the wire feed speed fast enough to keep the weld full of metal at a fast crackle.
