The Karcher Quick Connect Anti-Twist Adapter is an adapter that can be fitted to any existing Karcher Quick-Connect Hose and provides a 360° swivel that helps to reduce twisting and kinking of the high pressure hose and aids in preventing damage caused from kinks and twists in the hose itself.
You can adjust the pressure by twisting the Vario lance, to be on the higher setting to clean items to remove built up dirt. Likewise, you can reduce the pressure setting to clean your car so as not to damage your car paintwork.
To avoid a kinking hose keep it straight when it`s not in use. Do this by stretching it along a path or the edge of the lawn and then looping the business end back to the tap. Hoses can be stored in this way rather than being wound up and put away on a hose reel.
The Karcher K4 Full Control comes with a Dirt Blaster jet lance and a Vario Power Spray lance which allows you to adjust the pressure settings of the unit, making sure you get an optimal and efficient clean. The symbols marked on the LED display trigger gun (see image below) show you the current pressure setting.
The electronic pressure switch automatically switches the pump on and off again on the pressure side as required. If there is no water running through the pump on the suction side, e.g. if the water tank is empty, the dry-run protection protects the pump against damage and automatically switches it off.
Pressure Washer`s are commonly connected to a running tap via a hose; however they can also draw water from sources such as a rain water tanks & garden bucket with the same performance. So this means you don`t have to miss out on using your Kärcher summer!
PLEASE NOTE: You should always press the RESET button on the GFCI before using the pressure washer.
Investing in a specialized high-pressure hose reel will prevent your hose from getting stepped on, driven over, kinked or flattened. In addition, a reel can make it easier to use a flexible pressure washer hose since you don`t have to carry it around or wrap it up by hand.
Keep your washer at least four inches away from the wall. This will help to prevent the hoses from bending and kinking. Check your washing machine`s supply lines every month. Signs to look for include: loose connections, cracks, worn tubing, and blisters.

ANSWER : Check and see if you are getting power to the on/off swith. These switches have been known to go bad. Also, check the Ground fault breaker in the plug. Let me know how you make out.

I have a Karcher 3.49M purchased 8/2/09. Using the washer I inadvertently turned on after changing hoses, but forgot to turn water back on; this activation lasted only a couple of minutes before I realized there was no water. Now the unit makes a humming noise and does not turn on.
Can this be corrected, or do you believe the motor is burned up? I tried various electrical outlets and resetting etc. but to no avail. Thank you.

ANSWER : Normally when you dry run a machine you damage the pump so it would probably need changing. The motor might be Ok but for you to fix it you will need to take it to a Karcher dealer/service center.
From experiance it sometimes can be more cost efficient to purchase a new Karcher machine and get the 12 month warranty than spending money on an older machine.

ANSWER : This sounds like the o-ring inside the end of the high pressure hose could be damaged and is in need of replacing. If this is not the case you may need to have the inlet replaced.

My karcher pressure washers motor revs up and down when being used and loses pressure. can you tell me the cause of this problem and how easy it is to fix and what the cost would be please?
ANSWER : Hello, W/D here.It sounds like there is air in the machine, causing the over revving and loss of pressure. When the revving decreases, it’s because some of the air has passed, and the washer is then trying to pump water, only to have more air get into the pump. As the machine over revs, it heats up, making it actually harder to get the air out. The easy way to prevent this is to turn the water on at the faucet, and leave the trigger on the gun held down (open). Then, make sure that no air is trapped in the hose to the pressure washer. You can lift up on the hose and walk the hose from the faucet to the machine, forcing any air in the hose towards the washer. Then, allow enough time for the air that you have displaced to travel through the washer. You will be able to judge your progress by observing the end of the spray wand. This process will take you a few minutes, but will result in your washer running and performing better.Best regards, –W/D–
