ANSWER : Often it’s the easiest thing that stump us. Try changing the spark plug first. Sometimes a spark plug just won’t fire under load, i.e., while it’s in the cylinder but will spark if you have it removed. There are checkers for this, but it’s a lot less expensive to just replace the spark plug. Do that first and let me know.

How do we operate the trimmer to change it to trim along the edges of lawn. Can’t find our information.
ANSWER : Most string trimmers can do this. Just turn it half-way around so the black handle is close to the ground (now string will spin in a verticle sweep instead of parallel to ground). Just walk along sidewalk nad trim. You will have to hold tightly to keep the line straight (brace against your hip and try to make several passes and cut a little at a time).
You may have a button that allows you to only turn the cutting head half way around (so you don’t have to use your thumb to operate the switch). Either way, it will work fine.

Need to know how to wind trimmer line on trimmer
ANSWER : Depends on the trimmer, all heads are different. However, the majority of trimmers are wound as follows:
1. pop the top cover off the head, pull the spool out. It will be either single or double lined, they will be wound counter clock wise.
2. the end of each line goes out each of the seperate holes
3. slide spool back on and replace cover
