Put new fuel in,new plug, good spark, new air filter, compression 95, took spark plug out put fuel in hile put plug back in nothing, checked fly wheel key good wont start what else is there?
Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
Sure sounds like you did it all.Was the Plug wet with gas when you took it out to fuel it directly? I would take the plug back out, blow out or let the Cylinder totally dry. Then spray a bit of Starter fluid in the carb and see if you get life.Old gas left in a saw is a Carburetor killer. The paper components in these carbs can not stand the new 10% ethanol gas.
How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
If the spark plug produces a spark and you are still having difficulties starting your chainsaw, it`s time to check the gap. The spark plug gap is an air gap between the ground electrode and the center electrode. If the gap is too small, the spark struggles to ignite the fuel and air mixture.
If your chainsaw still starts and then stops working, check the air filter. Clean or replace the air filter if it is dirty or damaged. Another reason that your chainsaw starts and then stops working could be that the spark arrestor is dirty or clogged. If this is the case, clean it with a wire brush.
One tell-tale sign that a chainsaw has flooded is the smell of fresh petrol near the muffler. To ascertain whether this is indeed the problem, simply disassemble the part, pull the starter cord as if you were switching on the engine, then dry it, reassemble it and try switching it on again.

Chain keeps falling off – Poulan 18" Chain Saw Replbar (small Saws)
Your chain is too loose. If you’re using an old chain, you might need to have a link taken out of it. You can find replacement chains for your saw at Hyperparts.com. Use the application lookup link at the top of the page with your model # to make sure you order the right chain.

Proper fuel mixture?
Just getting started with a new RCS1835. The motor goes but the chain isn’t engaged. Is there another brake I need to release?
The plastic safety kick back may be engaged. 1) unplug the saw. 2) push the kick back safety ahead then pull it back ( it is the guard in front of the handle)
Now if your electric motor is turning, but the chain sproket is not, it may well be the clutch. Tap it with a small hammer, make sure it is free and not hanging up.
SAW WONT START IT HAS FIRE TO THE PLUG AND IT WONT START WHEN I SHOOT A LITTLE ETHER IN IT
If the engine has good compression, and good spark, it should at least ‘pop’ several times. Check the flywheel ‘key’ as it may have sheared causing the ignition to be out of time. Hope this helps!
I was using the saw as a chain saw last weekend to cut up an old tree stump when the chain came off. I don’t know how to access it to put it back on and don’t have a user manual. The saw belonged to my late father and I don’t know if he even kept the manual.
You will have to remove the cover on the side the chain bar goes into. There should be one or two nuts holding the cover on the side. The is also a chain tension adjuster you may have to loosen to put it back on. Make note of the direction of the teeth on the chain. It is an directional chain. The tension adjuster is usually a flat head screw on the front side right beside the chain bar.Unless it is a really old saw, manuals are available from most manufacturers for free download. See if you can locate a brand name and model number.
What causes the chain on my 240E to jump off the chain bar often, the chain tenson is correct.
Is the bar bent?try and flip it over and see if it falls off the other side if you can see a bend
My ics 633gc concrete saw seems to have to much compresion to pull start
Any chance it was run with little to no lubricant? When they get hard to pull that is usually the first sign of the engine getting ready to seize
When i start cutting it is fine. after about 3-5 minutes the chain seems to bind and you can not turn it with your hand. have new chain, bar, rear sprocket chain rides in. does this sound like a clutch problem?
Saw is not oiling the bar/chain right
