Where is the fuel filter?
All gasoline engines have a fuel filter on the end of the
fuel line in the fuel tank. Weed Eater recommends changing the fuel
filter yearly. To remove the filter,
1. drain the fuel from the unit,
2. Pull the filter from the tank through the gas tank opening and remove it from the line,
3. Install the new filter on the fuel line and drop back in tank.

The (clear) fuel intake line runs from the top of the carburetor (straight nipple) and goes to the short post on the back of the primer bulb. The return line (blue) comes from the long post on the back of the primer bulb and goes into the bottom of the fuel tank.
A: The fuel-oil mixture ratio is 40:1. You can obtain this ratio by mixing 3.2 oz. of two cycle air cooled engine oil with one gallon of regular gas. Over a period of time oil will separate from gasoline.
The instruction manual for the Poulan Pro PPB200 recommends using a Champion RCJ-6Y spark plug with its gap set at 0.025 inch.
Placement should be considered first. The filter should be installed in the outlet line that delivers fuel to the engine, after the tank outlet fitting but before any fuel pumps, regulators, primers or primer bulbs, or other filters.
Generally speaking, 3/8-inch fuel line is appropriate for most V-6, I-6, and V-8 engines and sometimes 5/16-inch will suffice for the smaller V-6s and I-6s. Likewise, you may want to go to 5/8 line and hose for a high-horsepower V-8.
Q: How do I mix gas and oil? A: Mix 3.2 ounces of Poulan 2-cycle air cooled engine oil to one gallon of fresh unleaded gasoline to obtain the recommended 40:1 fuel to oil ratio.
If your carburettor has a main jet adjustment screw at the base of the float bowl, turn the screw clockwise until you feel it just touch the seat inside the emulsion tube. Then, turn the screw counterclockwise 1 to 1-1/2 turns. Replace the air cleaner assembly and start the engine for final carburettor adjustments.
Replace the filter, start the saw and turn the “T” screw counterclockwise to increase the fuel mixture and the idle speed; turning the screw counterclockwise decreases both. You`ve achieved the proper fuel mixture when the engine idles smoothly but the chain doesn`t spin.
They are typically labeled L (low speed jet), H (high speed jet), and I (idler jet).

Use a piece of wire and insert it into the fuel line, then bend a hook in the end and hook it over the end of the fuel line…lubricate the fuel line with some vaseoline very lightly…about the first one inch of the fuel line and then use your fingers to start the fuel line into the tank, once you have the fuel line in the tank give enough to hook the fuel filter to and so it can be dropped back into the tank.
