I pull on the cord to try and start my pressure washer. It start to pull it and then stops like it is ceased. How can I fix this. Have not used it in a year, I checked the fuel, the spark plub and the oil. All of those are good.

If the pull rope doesn`t retract, it`s likely that the spring inside the recoil starter is broken. The recoil starter can also fail to engage the engine when the rope is pulled. Replace the recoil starter if the spring breaks or if the recoil starter won`t engage the engine.
The problem may be in the recoil starter itself. A tangled coil of rope or a broken spring may be the problem. In many cases the recoil starter is easily replaced as a single assembly. DO NOT attempt do take the starter apart.

To relieve this pressure simply squeeze the trigger to release any water and then try disconnecting hoses again.
If the pressure washer does not start, then the first thing to check is the fuse in the plug. The reading you`re looking for is the same as it would be when connecting the two probes of the multimeter together (as you can see in the example of this video, this fuse is actually fine).

ANSWER : If the pressure washer is pulsating then that is a sign of check valve failure. You may be able to clean of replace the check valves. Replacing the head is the wrong way to go. ANSWER : Sometimes the housing gets bent slightly. A lot of the housings have little taps or prongs that get slightly bent. I would take the housing off make sure it not bent or warp, to make sure there is nothing to block the free flow of then cord flowing. If it pulls fine with housing off, and hangs up when installed it slightly bent. Use small needle nose pliers and gently bend tabs away from area where cord is hanging up.

Pull cord is difficult to pull after third pull becomes stuck but will turn if pull hard repeats every three to four pulls.

ANSWER : Sounds like the unloader (regulator). Try removing the nozzle, the pull the trigger with the engine running. If motor is still running then it could be the Unloader malfunctioning. If you require a new one try a bypass system for the unloader. The bypass will help save the life of the unloader.
