Look for the serial number on an Allis Chalmers tractor on a black label above the company name. This number may have letters, which indicate the model of tractor. Check the front nose for the number if it`s not on the side.

The D-17 in front, beautifully restored is a 6-cylinder diesel rated 46 hp drawbar, 51 hp belt. The D-17 was sandwiched between the D-15 and D-19.

Best Answer. The engine will have a alphanumeric casting number on the passenger side (right side) of the block, under the heads. The first letter of the code identifies the decade (C=1960s, D=1970s, E=1980s), the second digit in the code identifies the specific year.
If you are having trouble reading serial numbers on an old gun, knife or anything stamped in metal, simply take a lead pencil and lightly rub it over the numbers. The graphite will make them stand out much better, at least well enough for you to read them.

John deere 240 brand new electric clutch. went I throw the swtich it clicks but doesn’t engage….
ANSWER : Adjust the clearance between the plates,9/16 wrench and turn the three nuts on the clutch one at a time about 1/4 turn each,retry the clutch,repeat until it works normally.

ANSWER : Removal is simple if you have access to an impact wrench so you can the center retaining bolt.

When re-installing anti-seize compound needs to used on the crankshaft so the new clutch assembly doesn’t seize on the shaft. To tighten the center bolt you must hold the flywheel in place by blocking it. This center bolt must be torqued to 45-55 ft fts. Also the new pto clutch needs burnishing in. Most new clutches come with instruction on this procedure.

With a cub cadet model #2518 year 2003 what engines can be used for replacement? Does it have to be vertico or horizontal?

How do i get the upper pulley above the pto clutch
ANSWER : Remove the pto unit and then remove the above pulley easely, spray some nut buster on the pulley and it will come off

Electric clutch pto. wire pulled out of assymbly. I found the right replacement part . Do you need a puller to replace? Or does it just slide on and off?
ANSWER : It may not just slide off , but should be able to come off with hand tools.

ANSWER : There is not a clutch on an electric chain saw, it is direct drive when the electric motor ia activated. If the chain is binding it will stop the chain.

Where is the fuse located on a LT1554 cub cadet
ANSWER : Check the connector and wires at the pto clutch. Sometime the movement will create a cut in the wiring you may be able to see. If so if the wire touches ground it will blow the fuse and if the wires touch each other it will short.
if the short is not there then the clutch is bad?BMW PARTS
