Generally, plastic decks will make your mower lighter and easier to push, getting you more mowing done during a battery charge cycle. If you`re using a self-propelled mower, a plastic deck should decrease the drain on the battery compared to a steel deck, due to the lighter weight of the plastic.
On average, you can expect a heavy-duty riding mower to have a 5-year to an 8-year lifespan for residential use. For professional-grade mowers that see heavy commercial use, that lifespan is between 4 years and 5 years. The closer your mower is to those milestones, the more strongly you need to consider replacing it.

Husqvana LTH 2038 model, blade is bent so bought new ones, when i tried to put on the new ones the right hand side one hits the deck. What could it be (checked the blades they are the right ones)
ANSWER : It sounds like whatever bent the blade may have also bent the rotator shaft,, if this is the case – replace the right hand rotator shaft,, then re-install the new blades and all should be good to go.
(( if the shaft looks ok on a roll test,, it could be the mount and metal portion of the shaft and you could get lucky and try and use a breaker bar to flex and bend it back into the proper position ).

Leaks bar oil
ANSWER : The chainsaw squirts oil into the oil hole in the bar. The chain picks up the oil and carries it all the way around the bar lubing it and the chain. When you quit running the saw there is still a lot of oil on the chain and all away around the chain guide in the bar. Once you quit running it and it sets a while all the oil will follow gravity and run to the bottom of the bar and drip out into the case. It’s just another one of life’s little nuisances. Have a nice day! Obwhon

No bar oil circulating… ran without the bar on and there is not enough bar oil coming out. checked the reservoir and cleaned bar- no gunk… how do i get the plate off to inspect the tiny compartment where the bar oil is let out at the chain? at the crank shaft i see that it is reversed threaded, but do i have to undo the spring clamp system or can i just unthread the breaking mechanism or whatever it is on the end of the crank shaft… if so do i have to use the trick with the spark plug and string to keep the shaft from turning while unscrewing the top part?
ANSWER : The item on the end of the crankshaft is the clutch (inner part) and also part of the chain brake (the outer part of the clutch drum). There should be an oil-volume adjustment screw located under the case near where the chain returns to the engine. Turn it CCW somewhat to increase oil volume. Be sure to clean the small oil passages that run from the large holes in the drive end of the bar out to the chain groove on each bar edge. The correct way to set it is have everything assembled, start the engine and run at speed for a few moments with the bar tip near some cardboard–it should throw off a thin line of oil. Hope this helps!
