How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
Use Briggs & Stratton SAE 30W Oil above 40°F (4°C) for all of our engines.
15 oz. of oil is required for the 725EXi Series engine (2700-2800 PSI Pressure Washers).
Use SAE 10W-30 for a varying temperature range of 0 to 100° F (-18 to 38° C), this grade of oil improves cold weather starting, but may increase oil consumption at 80° F(27° C) or higher.
SAE 10W-30 or SAE 10W-40 are oils that are useful in both hot summer and cold winter days. For example, if you are looking to use your pressure washer and the temperatures are about 40 degrees (F) or less, SAE 10W-30 will be your failsafe option. Anything about 40 degrees, it can still be your best option.
You can and it will increase the life of the engine, as it will lubricate better while the engine warms up. It will also make the engine easier to start but the difference may not be noticeable.
Is SAE 30 Oil The Same As 10W-30? No. Unlike SAE 30, SAE 10W-30 is multi grade oil. SAE 10W-30 has SAE 10W viscosity at a lower temperature and SAE 30 viscosity at a hotter operating temp.
You can use 10w30 instead of 5w30 oil since both meet the SAE standard for viscosity at operating temperatures. Generally, the viscosity difference between the two is neglectable. However, it`s important to note that a 10w30 oil will move slower than a 5w30 oil in cold environments.
One of the biggest advantages of using 10W30 oils is that they can sometimes be used in place of SAE 30. While it is not recommended, doing so will not cause damage to the engine. This is due to the multi-grade oil properties that make this particular oil flexible enough to use in various temperature conditions.
Description: Chevron Supreme SAE 5W30 motor oil is ideal for use in pressure washers that use four-stroke gasoline engines.
Suitable for use where a straight 15w40 Non-Detergent oil is specified for use in various makes and models of pressure pumps. This high quality oil is blended from virgin base oils and carefully selected additives to help protect washer pumps from corrosion and oxidation.
It`s best to use the oil viscosity recommended in the owner`s manual, but using a slightly thinner or thicker oil (lighter or heavier viscosity) generally poses no long-term harm.
Compared to a lower viscosity oil (like 5W-30), 10W-30 performs far better at hot temperature settings. However, it will only hold up as well as a lower viscosity oil in low temperature climates or cold weather. It will likely interfere with your car`s start-up performance at lower temperatures.
Obviously, a 10W-40 is thicker than a 10W-30 at high temperature. Armed with knowledge of viscosity grades, how can we put it to good use? Remember that using oil with a viscosity that is too high can result in excessive oil temperature and increased drag.

Most pressure washer pumps use a 30w non-detergent oil. This is because most pressure washer pumps use splash lubrication. This is a process that includes rotating “dippers” that throw oil into the pistons and cylinders.

Dont know what type of oil to use – Toro Power Lawn Mower
ANSWER : Put straight 30 weight motor oil in it. Not 10W30 or any multi-viscosity oil. Straight 30 weight motor oil. If you’re doing a complete oil change, then you may want to use Synthetic 30 weight, which will last longer between oil changes and also make your engine last longer (but it costs more too). Best of luck to you.James

What type of oil does it use? – Troy-Bilt 4-Cycle Curve Shaft Gas String Trimmer #41ADT41C966
ANSWER : I think all of these 4-stroke trimmers use SAE 30HD oil. I recommend synthetic. If you use synthetic, you can get away with using a multi-viscosity like 10W-30 if you can’t find straight SAE30 synthetic, but don’t use muti-viscosity conventional oil in these machines.
