Medium Duty 2000-2800 PSI

They`re great for cleaning concrete, brick, and wood. They work especially well for cleaning patios, sidings, roofs, decks, and fences. The medium-duty power washer is best for getting rid of stubborn stains and dirt that a low-duty pressure washer can`t clean.

Engine. Most gas pressure washers have four-stroke engines, but some have two-stroke engines. Four-stroke engines last longer, are quieter, and release fewer emissions than their two-stroke counterparts. Two-stroke engines are commonly found in smaller tools, such as gas chainsaws, and run faster than four-stroke ones.
2,000 – 2,900 PSI: This is a moderate strength unit used heavier residential tasks. These units are commonly sold as either electric or gas pressure washers. 3,000 – 6,900 PSI: These high pressure models are what professional pressure washers and contractors usually use.
You should also never set your pressure washer above 2,200 psi when washing your car. 1,500 psi is really all you need to get a good deep clean; any pressure higher than that won`t make a noticeable performance difference.
Vinyl siding can withstand a powerful gas pressure washer (2,500-3,000 psi). Aluminum, stucco or soft-grain wood homes will do better with a less powerful washer (about 1,200-1,500 psi).
Four-stroke (four-cycle) engines are newer and have a separate compartment for oil, so you don`t have to worry about mixing fuel. These engines are more fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly, while also giving you more torque when you need it.
With 4-stroke engines, however, you don`t have to mix, because they use only straight unleaded gasoline. The design means that you use fuel more efficiently, and that means you spend less money on lawn maintenance.
Mid-Range Power: 2,000 to 3,200 PSI

The most versatile category of pressure washers, those ranging from 2,000 to 3,200 PSI effectively clean cars (including the most well-used off-road vehicles), home siding, fences, boats and grimy garage floors. Those closer to 3,200 PSI work effectively on tough stains, too.

The main difference is that power washing uses highly pressurized steam to do the cleaning while pressure washing just uses unheated tap water, without the help of a heating element.

2000 to 3500 PSI pressure washers are suitable for more robust applications such as removing loose paint, mold, grime, embedded dust, mud, and dirt from surfaces and objects such as buildings, vehicles and concrete surfaces.
1000-2000 PSI

Good for light cleaning jobs or for jobs where the surface to be cleaned is soft and easily damaged. This pressure range is good for cleaning decks and siding and for light-duty auto cleaning.

Heavy-duty tasks like stripping paint or removing graffiti require 2,800 psi or higher and a gpm of 3 to 4 (8,400+ ECUs). Commercial-grade pressure washers, intended for regular use and built and powered accordingly, start at 3,100 psi.

I have a Briggs & Stratton pressure washer, Model # 20292 (True Bilt 2200). I have no problem getting it to turn over and it will run for 3-5 seconds, but then die. Any suggestions.
ANSWER : If #1 doesn’t work, the ports in your carb could be clogged. I just dealt with this problem this weekend. This is a relatively easy fix. Locate your carburetor and find the aluminum bowl underneath. On the bottom of the bowl, you’ll find a bolt. Loosen the bolt (gasoline will come out because the bowl is a reservoir for gas, but please make sure you’ve turned the gas supply off) and remove the bolt and the bowl. Clean any debris out of the bowl. The ports are holes in the bolt you removed. Make sure that air can pass through these holes (I blow through them, but I don’t mind the taste of gas too much. Probably NOT healthy. You can use thin wire, carb cleaner, etc..) Reassemble and your motor may start, if this was the problem. Make sure that the bowl seats properly and that you are careful screwing in the bolt, lest you cross-thread it. Hope that helps.

Where is drain plug for engine oil – Briggs & Stratton Gas Pressure Washer 20244
ANSWER : If you are refering to the engine, the drain plug is on the underside above the pump. Sometimes it’s located on both sides at the very bottom where the engine is bolted to the frame. It may have both of these drains, but the one on the side you can’t get to due to the frame being in the way so this is why they put them in two different spots. I hope this helps.
