12 hours old starts good turn choke off acts like running lean is there an carb adj
Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
A brand new snow blower ?? Who made it, single or two stage, 2 cycle or 4 cycle, Tecumseh or Briggs or China engine ??

Without knowing it’s pretty hard to tell you if it’s adjustable. Have you tried reading the manual ?? Did you try asking a dealer ??

Most newer machines do not have any adjustability as to fuel mixture. It’s strictly an emissions issue. Many are so lean they won’t run properly without being full warmed up before taking the choke off and some will still need a little choke to keep from surging. If you look on youtube you can see many cases of it. If you bought it new you can take it back and have them replace the carb and hope it’s better. If you have some skills and are willing to buy miniature drill bits (I did) you can take the carb apart and gently drill out the brass main jet to get some more fuel in there. This is also a procedure you can find on youtube.

As a general rule of thumb, a snowblower is worth the money if you get more than 20 inches of snowfall every year. At this point, the investment of between $200 and $1,500 is balanced out by the amount of work you save yourself from either paying someone for snow removal or using a shovel to remove snow yourself.
Look for professional snow blowers equipped with an engine of at least 400 CCs. Pick a snow blower clearing width that fits the properties you`re servicing. Biggest can be extremely efficient but it isn`t always the best option for clearing diverse areas like narrow walkways.
Snow blowers should last for several years. Most major brands offer warranties, protecting your machine for anywhere from one to five years (or more).
If you need your snow blower to clear up to 12 inches of heavy, wet snow from a longer driveway, a two-stage machine with a clearing width between 24 and 28 inches and an intake height around 20 inches is worth consideration.
The best time to buy a snowblower is in May or June after the new models are introduced. This way, you can backorder a brand new model at a discount price instead of settling for some leftover that nobody wants.
