Filled with gas and useing manual start can not find my instruction book

Is it new gas you are using? If you left the gas in from last year you may have a gummed up carburater. If you have a fuel cup on the bottom of the carb take it off and clean it up also cleaning the fuel jet as well. If the jet is dirty it will not run. When you remove the cup be careful the float does not come down too far or the gadget that the float works may fall out.

Strimmer wont start plug very dry when i remove it?
ANSWER : Sounds like the gas is not getting to the cylinder—remove carb and disassemble–make sure all jets are clear and the float valve moves freely.

Tines continue to work with out touching safety or throttle. they engage as soon as I start the engine.
ANSWER : Remove H (high) L (low) plastic caps to allow you to further adjust the flow and you will be going. H (red) further out about 11 threads exposed and L (low) about 8 exposed; adjusting the low side will stop the tines, but remove tines before making any adjustments, thanks

My mantis tiller with a honda gx22 engine starts then shuts off after approx. 30 sec.
ANSWER : If your unit has a primer bulb, start your engine . When it starts to die push your primer, if the engine comes back to life you have a carb issue.
