The fuel filter might be clogged. A clogged fuel filter is most commonly caused by leaving old fuel in the leaf blower. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog the fuel filter and cause the engine to stall.
A faulty ignition coil will normally only fail once the engine has run long enough for the coil to become hot. If you discover that your blower is dying after it runs for a little while (basically until it gets hot), your ignition coil may be faulty and will likely need to be replaced.
Check for a dirty air filter and replace if needed.

Most STIHL gasoline-powered equipment runs on a 50:1 mixture of gasoline and 2-cycle engine oil. Knowing the proper way to mix your fuel is the first step in keeping it running strong and long.

To fix the problem, start by draining the gas tank.

Replace the old gas with a fresh mix of gas, being sure to add a stabilizer to keep the ethanol from gelling. Often, just getting fresh gas and stabilizer through the chainsaw`s fuel system may correct the saw and it should stay running.

Sometimes when using a back pack blower in dryer (low humidity) and dusty environment, the air movement creates static electricity that will discharge to the operator. Using the blower in high humidity will help to alleviate this shock as well.

Seems to start easily run for a few minutes and then slow and stop–bulb remains full –gas is good–have tried half choke in case too lean–did not solve–also seems possibly related to the angle I hold it at–seems to cut out quicker if blower tube angled more downward.

Blower stops running after 10 to15 minutes of running
ANSWER : This could be caused by several things but the most logical is vapor lock. The unit should have a vented gas cap, try running with about 1/2 tank or so with gas cap off or just barely on, if this affects it causing it to run proper your problem is just a clogged vent in the fuel cap.

Will only develop power (and run somewhat properly) when the choke is engaged about 90%. Starts fine.
ANSWER : Sounds to me as tho you may have a loose carburetor or another part that is letting air into the system. Check all bolts and screws for tightness. Also, you may need to clean the carburetor or put some cleaner in your gas. Not too much, only about a tablespoon, but check the screws/bolts first.

The blower was running then sounded that it was stopping. Turn it off and know it will not allow me to pull the cord to start, feel like its lock up? How or what should I do to fix?
ANSWER : Ok.. Your fuel mix is wrong. You may save it by putting WD-40 or some kind of lubricant in the spark plug hole and try to turn with hand back and forth until you have freed it.. Works almost 85% of the time. You must get to the flywheel to try to turn, it will be located under the pull rope assembly. Good Luck… oh, dont forget to mix proper fuel mix if it frees.

ANSWER : I’m not to sure about the question. But you say it runs with the chock open. Your engine will only run with the chock open. Can you clarify?

sounds like you have a bad Ignition Coil (Module). This is how they act
when they start going bad. When they get warm, they quit. Some will
last up to 20 minutes before they shut down. You can sometimes find a
used one pretty cheap at a small engine shop.Jim

My blower only runs with 3/4 choke even after warm up.
ANSWER : Look on the carb for 2 screws side by side. where those screws go into the carb, it will be stamped with an “H” and “L”. Open the screw that is next to the “H”, counterclockwise about 1/4 turn at a time with the engine running, that should solve it.
