Why won`t my blower start? There are many different reasons why a leaf blower may fail to start, including stale fuel, engine flooding, dirty air filters, faulty spark plugs, defective batteries, blown fuses, and contact issues of the power switch.
If your blower is having a difficult time starting, then you may be dealing with a carburetor issue. The carburetor`s job is to ensure the proper mix of fuel and air is directed to the blower`s engine. As mentioned, the carburetor can become clogged, making it difficult for fuel and air to enter the engine.
Problems include dirty filters, broken wires, poor voltage supply and faulty limit switch or capacitor. You can test your limit switch with a multimeter, and clean the blower motor`s wire coils. If this doesn`t work, you may need to replace your furnace blower motor.
The location of the reset button will depend on the model of your furnace, but it can typically be found on the side of the blower motor inside the blower compartment. Once you locate the reset button, press and hold it for 30 seconds. Then, release the button and wait for 30 seconds.
If no air or weak airflow is coming from your air vents, the motor may be clogged or may be malfunctioning. There are a couple of reasons why you might have poor airflow including a clogged motor, a bad capacitor, or you may have a leak in your air ducts.
Many times this is caused by a plugged vent in the gas cap. Try running it and unscrew the fuel cap part way to see if venting the tank will allow it to run without the choke. If so, then clean the cap with hot water and dish soap or replace the cap with a new one.
There are a number of things that can go wrong with your heating system, but if the air stops blowing altogether and the same is true on cold air settings, a blower motor replacement is likely in order. The good news is that it`s a fairly straight forward repair.
The blower motor resistor controls the power to the system`s blower motor. When it fails, it can cut off all power to the motor. When the blower motor doesn`t get power, air pressure can`t be produced. You are left with a heater or air conditioner with nothing coming out of the vents.
The engine misfires or runs rough. The engine starts, but stalls shortly after. There is a noticeable increase in fuel consumption during normal equipment use. The spark plug itself appears damaged or corroded with carbon build-up or rust.

The blower was running then sounded that it was stopping. Turn it off and know it will not allow me to pull the cord to start, feel like its lock up? How or what should I do to fix?
ANSWER : Ok.. Your fuel mix is wrong. You may save it by putting WD-40 or some kind of lubricant in the spark plug hole and try to turn with hand back and forth until you have freed it.. Works almost 85% of the time. You must get to the flywheel to try to turn, it will be located under the pull rope assembly. Good Luck… oh, dont forget to mix proper fuel mix if it frees.
