I’m gonna take a guess and say you re-spooled the line yourself. If you did you may have put too much line on the spool. The max. is 30′, but I’ve found that that can cause jamming, which forces out more line, if not done perfectly. Reduce the amount of line by about 5 feet and you should be OK.

How to feed line into a black and decker trimer/edger model st6000 electric?

The line continually spools out. Used both rolls of line to trim my yard 1st time I used it.

I have the black and decker grasshog (non cordless) which long turns. i’ve replaced the line, and it powers up but no turning of the wheel.
ANSWER : Possible stripped plastic reduction gear (just inside bottom of motor housing). Make sure that no grass is bound up between moving and non moving parts. This is a chronic problem and will lock up the unit.
