Check for a shear pin. If it has sheared then the motor will turn but the auger will not. If you can free turn the auger by hand and the engine does not then that is an indication also.

A problem with the drivetrain, typically along the flexible drive shaft, is a common culprit when an auger won`t turn. To pinpoint the problem, start by examining the end fittings for cracks or breaks. If there are broken wires or sharp kinks, it`s time to replace the shaft housing.
If your engine runs but the auger doesn`t turn, a problem with the drive train is the most likely situation. Frequently, the issue can be traced back to the flexible shaft core. The best way to determine if the flex shaft is the issue is to inspect the core end fittings for cracks or breakage.
Troubleshooting if the engine won`t start

If this occurs, it means too much fuel has entered the engine. You will have to wait for the fuel to drain out of the post hole borer before you can start the process again.

Most augers are designed to run at 540 rpm, so it`s important to use the appropriate tractor.
When you apply too much force to your auger tool or the ground is challenging to penetrate, your equipment might get stuck. Removing your auger from the ground when it`s stuck can be tricky. Most people assume that it`ll loosen with a little more force. However, this can be more damaging to the equipment.
A snowblower auger should not spin freely when the auger control lever is off. A free-spinning auger is a symptom of broken shear pins. Shear pins are a fail-safe feature designed to break when the auger hits a solid object.
Borer are particularly problematic because they like to eat wood and can sometimes be found in places you might not check regularly such as the attic, subfloor, and crawlspace. If left unchecked, they can cause significant damage to timber framing, which can be an expensive but necessary repair.
Identification. The first obvious symptoms of ISHB infestation are patches of discoloration and oozing on bark, which can be dark, dry, water-soaked, or oily looking. These lesions are sometimes surrounded by wet discoloration (e.g., on oak and sycamore) or white crusty or powdery exudate (especially on avocado).
There are two standard control patterns to excavator joysticks: ISO controls: The left-hand joystick swings left and right, as well as moves the stick boom forward and back. The right-hand joystick raises and lowers the main boom up and down, as well as dumps or closes the bucket.

My Z5426 won’t start. When I pull out the choke and turn the key, gas starts leaking out of the exhaust system just before it gets to the muffler. Last time it did start, it ran really rough. So, I turn off the engine and then tried to restart and that’s when I noticed the fuel leak.
ANSWER : Maybe bad fuel, fuel line leaking, flooding of the carburetor, since it did start and ran rough I am assuming that the gas was left set and more then likely this gummed up the carburetor, you will have to clean/rebuild it. If you have a can of carburetor clean you may be able to spray that into there and clean it up, I would not choke it to start it as it sounds like it got/is flooded/ing. Good Luck Tim

Battery goes dead over night – Toro 42'' Zero Turn Lawn Mower Trailer Package Deal ()
ANSWER : First thing to do is find out if it’s the battery or the mower. Disconnect the battery and leave it overnight. If it’s dead in the morning, you need a new battery. If not, you either have a charging problem (not likely if the battery isn’t dead after using the mower) or you have a current drain.

On my cu cadet zero turn only the left side turns and the right side moans but wont move ever with the release lever to free wheel released
ANSWER : Check the hydraulic oil level for the hydrostat drives(if it has a reserve tank located under the seat. Some ZT’s don’t have the reserve tank. Don’t over fill that tank. 1/4 inch above the bottom is all it needs.)

Also, check the steering arm bolts. Very often they work themselves loose and the arm doesn’t pull the valve rod that controls the hydrostat unit.
