The Husky 34 was a badge engineered machine, it was actually manufactured by Skil under licence, it ran a 3/8 low profile chain ( 91sg ) 050 gauge, sorry cant remember the drive link count,after market bars and chains are still available from Oregon ( Blount ) it has to said it was not the best hobby saw going.

I have a 16″ 240e chainsaw. After a grand total
ANSWER : There was a number of issues with this machine and oiling, the early machine had no stregthening around the bar bols and the composit bar pad could distort crushing the oil hose ( this was sorted with the later crankcase, here you will see a squre steel block around each bar bolt ) the back of the pump housing was open on the early machine and dirt entered destroying the pump shaft gear, this was sorted with a rubber gasket at the back of the pump, let me know what you find.

Bar and chain oil leaks when not running
ANSWER : This is normal as the pump creates a pressure vacuum to pull the oil through it to the bar. If you are concerned about this, open and then close the oiler cap. This will relieve the pressure much like in a caulking gun or gen. purpose pump sprayer. Hope this helped.

ANSWER : Are you sure you aren’t talking about the chain oiler system? There is to be a small amount of oil to lubricate the bar and chain.

ANSWER : You need to clean the chainsaw areas where the dirt has gone with a water hose. You may have clogged up the oil thing that puts oil on the chain. Hope this helps! And yes, dirt will make a chain dull. You might have to replace the chain or have it sharpened.

Oil is not lubing the chain on bar, what would be causing it?

When using the chainsaw, the chainsaw siezes, and makes the engine run sluggish. The bar and chain we not is not getting oil. The oil reservoir is fulled.

ANSWER : Sounds like the ports on the bar are possibly clogged with debris or the oil lines going down to the bar are clogged. Check both of them to see if that might be the problem.
