Shortly after the merger was completed, a new factory was built in an area west of Milwaukee that was then known as North Greenfield. In 1902, with this new factory, the locale was renamed West Allis, Wisconsin.
The company ran into financial difficulties in the 1980s and was forced to sell many of its business lines. Allis-Chalmers closed its doors for good in 1999, just under 140 years after E.P. Allis` first foray into Milwaukee`s industrial expansion.
The big ol` Allis used a turbocharged and intercooled 426-cubic-inch inline-six rated at 222 engine hp., and it was mated to their 20-speed Power Director transmission.
Allis-Chalmers was a continuous inventor and innovator in these fields. Throughout the first half of the twentieth century, they were one of the one hundred largest American manufacturing companies.
In my opinion, the Allis-Chalmers 8000 series tractors were a good mid-range tractor — maybe some of their best. Certain models had their issues, that`s true, but overall, they were good machines. That said, they ALL suffered from one fatal flaw: bad timing.
He must have been thinking over the question of color one day when he traveled past a field of brilliant, blooming poppies. As they waved in the breeze, the color struck a chord with Merrit. He went back to the factory and convinced his colleagues that orange was the right choice.
Hinomoto/Toyosha built some of the larger compact tractors sold as Simplicity, Deutz-Allis and Allis-Chalmers.
In 1934 it was the Allis-Chalmers Model U. The record setting speed of 65.45 miles per hour was set by Ab Jenkins, a speed record that went unchallenged for 81 years.
Deutz-Allis was formed when Deutz-Fahr of Germany, part of KHD, purchased the agricultural assets of the Allis-Chalmers corporation in 1985.
Allis-Chalmers originated in James Seville and Charles Decker`s Reliance Works, a pioneer iron foundry and machine shop established on West Water Street (now North Plankinton Avenue) in 1847.
Allis-Chalmers (the name wasn`t adopted until 1901) was an old company when tractors came along, having begun in 1847 as Decker & Seville to manufacture buhr mills in Milwaukee.

I am not familiar with the Allis Chalmers brand, but if the coil is good and you are still not getting spark to the plugs, I would consider a sheared flywheel key as the likely cause. Hope this helped and best wishes.
