My craftsman 2150 psi power washer worked fine last fall, after the winter months, the motor is working fine but im getting no water pressure out of the hose. Its leaking at the inlet and outlet. Do I need a new pump? Anyone know where to purchase a pump if thats the problem.

Did you drain the pump in the fall? Cracked housing or blown gasket.
How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
The water pump may have suffered internal damage to a seal, bearing, or impeller. The motor will keep running but the pump is unable to develop normal pressures. “Damage” may include a broken impeller blade, scale or debris clogging the impeller or other pump components, or a failing pump seal or bearing.
If the water pump is running but no fluid is being pumped this could be blocked inlet suction filter, check valves failed with pumps bypassing, blocked discharge lines, electric motor polarity is incorrect or incorrect pressure settings parameters amongst other issues.
Low pressure at your garden hose spigot can be caused by one or a combination of issues, such as clogged or leaking pipes, excessive corrosion in the spigot valve or a lack of water pressure coming from the street.
If your water pump has stopped pumping out water entirely while making this buzzing sound, there`s no cause for panic. The humming sound means the pump is working but there`s no water to move, so your pump is running dry. If your pump has lost prime, or is running dry, this is due to a loss of water.
With the engine off, open your hood and locate the water pump pulley. With gloves on, grab it and wiggle it back and forth. There should be no movement, if there is, this along with the noise is a good indication you may have a water pump problem.
Air Lock. If you are experiencing no flow and any unusually loud sounds or hums coming from your water pump, this could be due to Vapour lock is when air gets trapped inside your pump. These pumps are not made to push air out, so an air bubble will get trapped.
You can use a pressure gauge to calculate the water pressure of your garden hose. The average pressure for home taps can be anything from 1 BAR to 5.5 BAR or 14.5 PSI to 80 PSI.
The pump is not producing the rated flow or head:
The clearance between the impeller and casing is excessive – adjust the impeller clearance. The suction head is insufficient – ensure the suction line valve is fully open and the line unobstructed. If the impeller is worn or broken – inspect and replace.
An average pressure tank will normally run anywhere between 30 seconds and two minutes to fill back up and get to normal pressure levels. If you`re using large amounts of water, the time it takes for your tank to replenish increases.

Starts great and sprays great, but will not continue to run when [ stop spraying. It locks up until I release the pressure from the gun.is there a pressure by-pass adjustment I can make?
Tune up motor, replace air filter/spark plug and oil.
Motor runs, water flows but no pressure. I hope someone has an idea to the cause.
There are different tips on the nozzle, if you use the tip that lets soap into the hose, the pressure is very low. Change to a smaller tip and there will be back pressure and it should work as designed, however there may be an unloader valve sticking open
The motor will only run when i pour gas into the carb
Clean the carburetor
Althogh the motor is running, the water comes out at very low pressure. The machine is a K4.91
Has it been store in sub zero tempiture if so your pump housing is cracked
No pressure Pump reassembly. I purchased a new pump and installed it. Got machine back together and I’m not getting any pressure. What would be the signs if I don’t have the shaft key in properly? Or any other suggestions?
Water comes out of nozzle with pressure for a quick second then no pressure, just water. This is a brand new pump so was curious if I installed it wrong. Wondering before taking it apart again.
No pressure would be a sign that the key was not in properly.
I have a Northstar pressure washer powered by a honda GC160 engine. The last time i used it, water leaks from the bottom of the unit, whether it is running or not. When running, the pressure is fine. I have felt underneath and it appears that the water is coming from the second opening from the rear. Is there a pressure relief valve there. I have a manual but cannot find any descriptors for underneath the motor.
This is a piston seal issue. You can get a kit to rebuild the pump.
I have a 2000 psi simonize gas fired..Can.t get any water when pump is running. I took the. water pressure hose off on unit and still no water
If the unit has been stored you need to remove the bottom three plugs on inlet side of pump head and simply free the checkvalves that are in closed position needle nose recommended and small screwdriver to pry them open this is caused by the impurites in water that dry up and seals the head and disc together:):)
Does not have high pressure – Campbell Hausfeld PW1750 Electric Pressure Washer
Either the pump is bad or worn out or the pressure relief valve is stuck open and needs to be closed. No kinks in water line to unit?
