Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog up the carburetor and cause the engine to stall. If the carburetor is clogged, try cleaning it with carburetor cleaner.
One of the most common problems, especially because rototillers often sit unused for months, is stale fuel or a clogged carburetor. If you know you have fresh fuel, you can check for carburetor blockage by spraying a small amount of carb cleaner into the intake and attempting to start the engine.
Once the fuel tank is empty, push the primer bulb on your tiller 7 or 8 times to clear out any fuel in the carburetor.
How Do I Know If My Praying Mantis Is Hungry? A praying mantis will usually let you know when it is hungry by becoming more active and trying to climb higher up on its cage. You may also see it extend its abdomen and mouthparts as if it is trying to reach for food.
First, check to see if the mantis is dehydrated. If so, try misting it with some water. If the mantis is not dehydrated, then the next most likely cause of death is cold weather. Try moving the mantis to a warmer location.
When soil is dry and compacted, tiller tines basically bounce off it without digging into it or turning it. Combat compaction by watering the area thoroughly one or two days before you till. Also, raise the tines to their highest setting so they till just the top 1 or 2 inches of soil.
Why would the engine only run while the choke is on or with repeated manual priming? An engine that requires the choking ( partial or full ) after initial engine warm up is an indication that the engine fuel air mixture system is out of adjustment.
Due to their diet, praying mantis do not usually get full. They will continue to hunt and eat as long as their prey is available.

ANSWER : Hi anon, if it’s starting your 2/3rds of the way there. You have fuel and spark. Try and clean the air filter first and if that fails to keep it running then check that the choke isn’t staying out. If all thats ok then it may be the carb gaskets.

Wont run, not getting fuel. disconnected fuel filter, still nothing. Can spray a shot of carb cleaner directly into carb, and will run until it burns the fuel then dies. Check and getting good spark.
ANSWER : You say it’s not getting fuel? when you bypassed the filter was gas coming out of the fuel line right where it connects to the carb? If it runs on ether, carb cleaner or pouring fuel in the carb then your problem wont be the the carb or motor it will be something like a cracked, dryrotted or pinhole in the fuel line. Or something restricting the flow from the tank to the carb.
