If a fuse repeatedly blows out, this is a sign of an electrical surge or short somewhere in the electrical system. Finding the exact source of a surge or short location is an investigative process best left to experienced mechanics familiar with these electrical systems.
The main reasons your amp keeps blowing fuses are a short circuit, faulty wiring, a loose connection, excessive heat, or damage to the power supply or output section or the amplifier.
The fuse used on most of our riding mowers is a 20 ampere, 12 volt, automotive-type, two-prong, flat-blade fuse ( known as. SAE ATC® style).

When the compressor goes to restart and re-fill the tank, the pressure exerted on the compressor from the tank causes the motor to pull a lot of power to compensate for this. This in turn leads to a blown fuse.

Improper modification is one of the most commonly seen problems. The most common of these is tapping more than one conductor from a single connection point.
Recommended Services. Fuses are over current protection devices which means that you either have a short to ground (possibly intermittent) somewhere in the circuit or enough added resistance in the circuit that the current drawn by the pump is enough to blow the fuse.
A clogged carburetor is most commonly caused by leaving fuel in the lawn mower for a long period of time. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog up the carburetor and cause the engine to stall.
I wouldn`t recommend it. Whatever is happening with your plug/socket to blow the fuse sounds like a direct short- and would blow a 25 amp as well. Your best bet is finding out why it is shorting out upon removal, and repair or replace that component.
First, and most commonly, when too many lights or plug-in appliances draw power from the circuit, it can overload the capacity of the fuse and cause the metal ribbon inside the fuse to melt through. The result is that all lights, outlets, and appliances powered by the circuit will go dead suddenly.
