Most passenger cars` psi requirement will be between 30 to 35 psi, but several vehicles fall outside of that range and every vehicle will have specific requirements. Good tire air pressure ensures that tires wear evenly, provide a smooth ride, and increase fuel efficiency.

SAE 10W-30 or SAE 10W-40 are oils that are useful in both hot summer and cold winter days. For example, if you are looking to use your pressure washer and the temperatures are about 40 degrees (F) or less, SAE 10W-30 will be your failsafe option. Anything about 40 degrees, it can still be your best option.

All Cat Pumps have a label on the pump to identify the model. If your pump has no model number label, you can identify your pump by either removing and measuring the cylinder on piston pumps or by removing and measuring the ceramic plunger on plunger pumps (see photos below).

Recommended tire pressure
Based on normal tire sizes for each segment, small-sized car are usually 30 psi, medium-sized cars are 36 psi, and large cars are 42 psi. Keep in mind that warm tires normally exceed recommended cold tire pressures by 4-6 psi.
The average lifespan of a well pump is 15-25 years, and you will typically start to notice more issues with your pump as it ages like an increase in repairs, changes in water pressure or increasing utility costs.
For a single level home or a two story home without water fixtures on the 2nd floor a 30/50 PSI setting may be sufficient. For two or more levels with water fixtures on more than one level you may want to use 40/60 PSI setting. It`s easier for a pump to supply the lower pressures and it`s less strain on old plumbing.
In summary, the wattage of the pump, the speed of the motor, and the structure of the pump can ultimately affect the head (the pressure) of a pump.
If the water pump is running but no fluid is being pumped this could be blocked inlet suction filter, check valves failed with pumps bypassing, blocked discharge lines, electric motor polarity is incorrect or incorrect pressure settings parameters amongst other issues.

Ideal Tire Pressure

The most common tire pressure is 5-6 psi. That suits the average rider, on an average ATV, on average terrain. As low as 3 psi and up to 12 psi are common in different scenarios. There should be a recommended tire pressure range written on the side wall of your tires.

I have a 1/2 horse wayne shallow well pump. At times the water in the house slows to a trickel. This will happen for about 40-120 seconds then the pump seems to kick on and the pressure is restored. I have replaced the high low switch and the problem persists. Please let me know any thoughts on the problem. Thank You

My pressure washer will start for a second and then shuts down. I just bought it from a friend and don,t think the springs to the govner are right but not sure.would like a skicamitc of the engine or manual so i can see if they are right

What oil do i use in the pump? The oil is milky and needs changing.

They recommend 250 hours, but i’d change more often, like you said when it’s milky. If it begins to get water in the oil sooner, that indicates your piston to crankcase seal is beginning to leak.

ANSWER : Sounds like you may need to remove the valves to check for any dirt etc. Is the machine juddering when on pressure. If so then it will be the valves that just want removing and cleaning

I have a pressure booster pump installed which turns on automatically when we open the tap and turns off by itself when we close the tap, but when power goes and comes back(common in india), the pump will turn on even with no tap opened and does not turn off automatically and goes on running, some kind of airlock problem I think, when we just shut off and on water input several times, it again starts working well
ANSWER : Check to see if the output pipe has water in it when the pump swutches off the pump needs to be primed at all time what we normally find cases like this is the pump is higher than the supply or there is an air pocket on the output where the pressure sensor is
